Story
The Folklore
There was once a lonely witch that lived in the far side of the mountain, without a place to call home, as its home was really a house. A building that kept it from storms. One day a few travelers came up the mountain and sat down with the witch, asking why it cried day and night. "Because no one wants to hear me laugh, oh I have a horrible laugh" says the witch. The travelers were confused, they never heard a witch's laugh before, so they asked if it would laugh for them. The witch said they must make it laugh, it cannot laugh on it's own. So they did, they tried and tried until it finally let out a laugh that rumble the mountains, not from fear but from love as they try to listen closer. The travlers smiled at the witch, never seeing someone so happy to feel human. That was the day the Pantheon was made, as the witch welcomed them into its home, starting a coven with the travlers. They say if you're quiet enough, you can hear the witch's laughter, just as beautiful as ever.
Dancing With Death
Arcadial always had a fear of their own death, being hyperaware of their mortality in their universe. What they did to fight this was to universe hop, a spell that drains their energy in order to work, but lets them restart their timer. They asked their friends if they would all join them in this ritual, and they all eventually agreed to. What Arcadial did not mention was that their memories would be erased the moment they hopped, needing to relive life again. This leads to Arcadial's dance with death, hopping them and their friends each time the clock is almost up, however death was not much of a dancer..
Losing Yourself
While the Patheon were universe hopping and forgetting their memories, Arcadial started to lose themselves, though in each universe they had to learn to remember everything, it became much harder the more they did so. Arcadial started to believe that they were being followed by the coven, not as friends but as foes. Starting to get more and more paranoid that these people were out to get them. Though they have no idea who these people are, they do know that they're important. They just don't know how important..
The Hunters
It's been centuries since the first hopping of the Patheon had started, and Arcadial began to turn on the coven in attempt to get away. Hunters, what Arcadial thought they were, and soon enough the coven began to believe it as well. Forgetting their magic as they went rouge in attempt to kill the witch, forgetting that it was once their friend, forgetting they themselves are witches. How ironic, Arcadial jumped with their friends to remain close, now it seems that they're pushing farther away..
