As a young man, Data was the very opposite of everything he is in current day- abrasive, thrill-seeking, and a massive bully to even those he was meant to be close to. He was the very picture of a coddled, spoiled rich brat that thought himself untouchable by anyone beneath him- and not even his childhood friend and guardian, Taios, was spared his relentless assholery. To the public though, he had the perfect image of a future King- one that would be instantly shattered if one ever met him. He was a huge piece of shit!
After the aberration attack that left him with an entirely mechanical body, Data becomes much more subdued and responsible- seeking to repair the bonds he refused to foster and instead destroyed. While old habits occasionally die hard, he works even harder to kick them and has become almost completely unrecognizable as the old immature prince he once was.
Nowadays, he's an excellent king and is a devoted and loving husband and father as well.

Eventually gets brutally wounded by an aberration unleashed upon him by the insidious cult harboured within Gnidaranh.

Reflects on his behaviour while recovering and strives to become a kinder person, falls in love with his nurse, and seeks to reconcile with his guardian and friend, Taios.
An only child and heir to a very powerful throne, Data was endlessly spoiled by his parents- leading to him getting a very big head and becoming a bit of a prick to those he considered lower on the status wrung than him. He'd turn his nose up at the mere idea of marrying a non-Royal, play meanspirited pranks on friends and family, and bully his own Guardian relentlessly. To say no one liked him was an understatement, but to the public and his own parents, he was both the picture of royal beauty and the perfect prince.
Though eventually, tragedy struck- on an outing he was confronted by the leader of the aberration-loving cult and his son and Data was bitten by an aberration they unleashed upon him- a sure death sentence for most. While Taios arrived and was eventually able to scare them off, it was a devastating blow to his parents.
They poured all their resources and money into the creation of a mechanical body that would replace Data's, which, due to the Aberration's poison would quickly cause Data to transform into one of the same monsters if not removed. It saved Data's life, but would destroy his self esteem and leave him bedridden for months before he recovered enough to learn to pilot his new body.
With the help of his day nurse, a civilian SoftBot named Nemira, Data recovered wonderfully- and once her time at his side as a nurse was over, he asked for her to stay by his side as his future wife instead.
Data now comically has to struggle between being king of a huge empire, caring father, and doting husband all at the same time!! Oh no!! He is eternally tired lmao
He loves Nemira and their children Raina, Saida, and Anya and would do anything for them. He's also mostly patched up his friendship with Taios!
- His entire body is mechanical, but is actually quite squishy!
- The cover over his body is a set of mechanical armour that boosts his body's strength- he can't leave home without it on. He also has less dexterity if it's not on.
- His mane is actually fake- it's entirely detachable.
- Without fur, Data always runs cold, meaning he always has to wear warm clothes.
- Data is a very loving and sweet person, and not a day goes by without him showing Nemira or their kids a little bit of affection.
- His favourite dish is potato pancakes and grilled pork chops.
- Often keeps his hair up with a little hairpin that Nemira picked out for him.
She's the light of my life.
During their time together while Data was recovering, he couldn't help but fall in love with Nemira. She was sweet, nice to talk to, and showed him great compassion.
If she wasn't by his side, he would be nowhere.
I wouldn't be here without him.
Data feels awful for the way he treated Taios when they were both young, and has worked tirelessly to fix his mistakes. It took a while, and Taios was both understandably extremely conflicted and wary, but eventually Data regained his trust and friendship.
He does his best to be the friend he should have been from the beginning.
