Shorelight

Shorelight is an insecure, uncertain cat - she desperately wants to be recognized for her efforts and works hard for this, yet she simultaneously fears the spotlight she seemingly desires, avoiding it the best she can. A childhood fear of strangers has led to her being a poorly socialized cat - she spent much of her youth avoiding any cat who wasn't her mentor or her family, never straying far from them if she ever did attend a gathering.

The child of Dewshine and Ripplewhisker - previously known as Sheepcurl - Shorelight's early life was one filled with quite a lot of mayhem. Born at the lighthouse of the Tide Watchers, which then collapsed and forced the Tide Watchers and CreekClan to return to CreekClan's territory, making the rough journey home, and the frequent deaths that would deeply shake her parent. Even after life began to quiet down, the frequent tragedies CreekClan faced would shake the young cat each and every time. 

Apprenticeship led to Shorepaw working hard to impress those around her, especially her mentor Wildwhisker, who she grew to admire despite her somewhat unconventional approaches to training. But this came to a head when there was an accident during Shorepaw's warrior assessment, leaving her badly injured. Not long after, her littermates - Posystorm and Rosefang - received their full names, something that was a heavy blow against Shorepaw's confidence. At the very least though, she has found a close friend in the healer apprentice, Briarpath. She tries to keep her chin up the best she can, despite the many conflicting feelings she would face, and the consequent falling outs that she would have with her littermates and her mentor.

Almost a whole year after her injury, Shorepaw would recover enough and reconcile with Wildwhisker and finally pass her assessment. Rekindling her bonds with her littermates as well, her new name reflected the way in which her life had become brighter after her hardship - now being named Shorelight.
