History

Derek comes from a single father home, his mother having left when he was young. His father is a drug addict and lives a "high risk" lifestyle. Although his father loved him, Derek was exposed to many things a child shouldn't have been, causing him to grow up with inappropriate boundaries and ideals. Derek was taken by child services due to unsuitable living conditions and exposure to dangerous conditions.
Derek struggles to adjust and conform to the rules. Despite counseling, he continues to show inappropriate behavior and is advised not to be around the younger children. He will require extra monitering and extensive therapy.
