General

Torch is a former guitarist, singer, now weaponsmith, distributor and muscle drag racer.

He is impulsive, charismatic, and witty, if a touch stupid, he can always trust his gut. But he can be quite emotional, he is irritable and can be quite sensitive, which doesn't always mesh well with his strong impulses. After he abandoned his craft, he's been trying to fill that gap with something new. While this "arrangement" is not at all what he was looking for, his newfound friends make it worth a damn.

Appearance

He is tall, with a lean build, with predominantly dark grey fur and usual raccoon markings, but in a bright maroon color. He has dark hari with more markings on his ends, his fingers, and his tail. He often wears a plain black jacket and jeans, with few accessories or accents.

Backstory

Torch had a knack for music since his teens, starting garage bands but leading a one-man show. For a while, he was doing well, playing backup roles and even some open mic nights. Though, on the day of his last performance, he got a phone call, news of his father's sudden passing. From that point on, he tried to keep making a living on his own, but his nerves caught up to him. He started bombing performances, pissing off venues, and almost quitting.

But, to keep his passion alive, even if on metaphorical life support, he tried playing on the streets, leaving his case open for donations and scraping in a meager cash flow... but it wasn't enough. He started getting greedy, getting angry, and started resorting to petty theft, pickpocketing grew to shoplifting, which grew to small robberies and hold ups... and one attempt at grand theft auto. Unfortunately for him, it wasn't the cops chasing him after he had stolen a nice muscle car, but several other roaring engines of green and gold, marks of the area's crime family. They ended up chasing him 3 miles out and into a ditch. But in an act of mercy, or cruelty, their leader offered him a chance to pay off the damage done to the car, in what they called "lifelong installments." From that point on, he was one of them, moving their goods and even building them guns. It sucked for a while, sure, but he was fed, and got to do something to take his anger out. Since then he met Hype, and joined the Nomads, an offshoot of the greater family, a family of his own, of people who had enough, and moved together. When they aren't doing the boss' dirty work, they get to race with the R.U.N. The Racers' Underground Network, and earn huge cash payouts that they always spend back into their cars, pizza, smokes and alcohol.

Relations

Hype Current partner, took him into the Nomads, and he quickly fell in love with her confidence, and strength. She gave him someone to rely on in the lawless trash fire that is their town. She helps counter his impulsiveness now and again, and calm his outbursts.

Father Growing up, he and his father always had a great relationship, even when things were hard for their family. Though he has since passed, he has still beena source of guidance and motivation for Torch, always reminding him to do what he can, and that whatever he can give is enough.
