Puppy

Sam (or "Puppy" as he's called) is a friend of Nick's, having known him since high school. One day Puppy had fallen asleep in class and woke up screaming about puppies - ever since that day everyone around him has referred to him as "Puppy", to the point most people have forgotten Puppy's real name. Born to an upper middle class family, Puppy showed promising skill as a quarterback and his family funded him to pursue football in college. Little did they know however that Puppy's passion did not lie in football, but in writing fantasy novels. He instead used that funding to get a creative writing degree in secret, lying to his parents all the while about why they couldn't come "see his games" and such, until graduation came around and they finally found out. Now financially cut off from his family, Puppy lives with Nick, Su and Al, kind of just bumming around and unable to keep down a job.
