Random Trivia:

• The Independent Self-Defense Commission is a stray off-shoot of the Tenryou Commission focused solely on external invasions and threats outside from Inazuma. They are not responsible for domestic conflicts and the overall national security and are simply the elite to be used when necessary.
• The position of the Self-Defense General was, like all her fellow generation, was passed on by the former Watcher of Inazuma. She was an orphan that was taken in as the former general's heir, much like Kujou Sara of the Tenryou Commission.
• The Self-Defense Commission is, as its name implies, independent and so, the need to socialize with the main Tri-Commission heads were practically none-existent. This in turn had made her a somewhat of a mysterious figure.
• As she was an orphan, before being adopted, she was taken in by a lady known as Granny Oni. As such, Arataki Itto and her relationship with him seems rather close (though time and time again, like a sturdy wall, she prevents him from getting too close)
• Despite being part of an off-shoot of the Tenryou Commission, she is surprisingly close and probably had the most contact with the Yashiro Commission's very own Kamisato Ayato.
• She is a rather ominous legendary figure in Hanamizaka as she had once protected the small town from pirate invaders and had done so with barely blood stained on the land. Itto claims that he had been a huge help which Ame had no comment on (so no one really knows the truth)
• Just like her juniors, as Yue's first disciple, her method of concealing her sight had been to simply close them, leading to many rumors that she is blind.
• She is one of the few people that even Yae Miko cannot shake, her iron will and sturdy discipline had made her be the Shrine Maiden's self-imposed rival.
• It is always a 50/50 whether or not she will appear in general meetings of the heads of the commissions (though people soon realized that a lot of the chances were connected with Ayato's own appearance). Every time she does, it is said that much that is needed to be done were completed that day.
• Ame and Barak absolutely despise each other. She has not and will not talk about him or towards him at any cost.
• Her nickname is "The Iron Wall of Inazuma"

Personality

"I am not strong, nor am I brave. So I used that cowardice to shield myself, to build a wall. And if that wall happens to wrap around you, well... Coincidences do happen."

Overall

Ame is truly at heart someone at a lost on many things. She is blunt, straightforward, and often times more stoic when curiosity strikes her. However, after seeing her master, Yue, act around people, she had begun imitating him in earnest. Ame would appear quiet and polite, often with a tiny hesitant smile settling onto her face. However, unlike Yue, Ame does not maintain the smile for too long, often her face will slowly fall into a stoic mask the deeper her thoughts are. Ironically, it is this stoicism and blankness that is her true face compared to the tiny smiles she whips out.

Towards People She Holds Dear

Ame has only ever felt the need to give out a smile filled with her emotions during a few times in her life: Once, when a certain Oni had befriended her when others avoided her in their tiny village. Another is when her Master had held out his hand and watched the fireworks blew up in the sky with her. Lastly is when the heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude of the Yashiro Commissioner's words and smile was directed at her even though she knew she was just simply doing her duties. There, Ame does not feel the strain of her lips pointing up, instead of feeling tired at the facade, she had come to realize that the feelings of happiness and the warmth in her heart had simply caused that relaxed smile.
