Aelita

They say the eyes are the window to the soul, but what if these eyes are hidden away behind a piece of cloth? How could anyone tell what's going on behind the mask?

Aelita definitely took those words to heart by masking her eyes; not only to protect others, but to protect herself and her identity as well. Blending in with the environment, and not standing out too much is what she stands for. One has to, being an exile, kicked out for being 'too weak'.

Aelita may be shrouded in mystery, but once you get to know her, she'll open up more, and slowly but surely, she'll be quite a nice person to be around. She can even get along with most personalities directly opposing hers, like the Wizard Phoebe and the Dragon Warrior Ryoko.

Just like everyone else in the group, the Elf has her own issues to work out. She tends to grow quite paranoid and prefers being on her own. Once you break her trust, you won't gain it back that easily.

All in all, Aelita isn't an open book, and has a lot of pages to work through, but the journey will ultimately be worth it.

• Aelita was the first character to be designed for this series, hence the pirate theme of her design matching the title.

• Aelita is the only known elf covering up her eyes to prevent accidental manipulation. This may be a result of anxiety or trauma.

• According to Akir, Aelita might be a far off relative from him, thus making her have some royalty in her.

• 'Aelita' means 'starlight seen for the last time'.
