Onion is the most neurodivergent oni in the sixteen realms. He has a rock collection that he's very proud of and considers his second family, his favourite being a little pebble that looks huge in his palms. Onion is incredibly short, though doesn't mind and instead uses it to his advantage, demanding piggy-back rides from everyone in the stronghold.

Onion couldn't look up to Zayne anymore than he already does, going through every day trying to do things and achieve things he knew would make his older brother proud. He hasn't processed what happened to Zayne, not really- at his young age he doesn't fully understand that he won't ever see Zayne again, but knows what happened to him is bad. (Or at least the theory of what happened to him is.) With that in mind, he carries a lot of guilt about what happened and wishes he could have done more.
While it wasn't on purpose, Onion unknowingly looks up to Sylver as a replacement Zayne. With how much of a skilled fighter Sylver is, how similiar his affection is to Zaynes, and the big brother roles they've both played in his life, it's hard not to. When Onion trips and scrapes his knee, his first reaction is always to go to Sylver in the same way he would have with Zayne. This unfortunately leaves Onion paranoid that he's going to blow up on Onion in the same way Zayne had, while also leaving Onion very protective of him.
