Dislikes: Amable, cooking (she's not good at it), being called a kid, being the center of attention, having to deal with strange events starting every midnight, and gym class.

Personality: Claire is a shy, but friendly girl who would rather not stand out from the crowd. Claire would rather spend her time reading a book then socializing, but she does have a few friends. Despite being easily scared and frightened, Claire has a strong love of anything horror and dark fantasy related, and loves reading stories and poems about monsters and demons. At first, she's rather terrified by the events caused by the mysterious clock she inherits, but she later becomes more determined to solve the mystery of why the clock causes the events to happen, and tries to remain brave even when the events become more dangerous. She wishes to get along better with her sister.

History: Claire was born and grew up in the rainy town of Regen. She has an older sister named Charlotte, and was raised by her father. Growing up, Claire's family often visited a bakery owned by Mr. Chambers, a family friend. On the day of Mr. Chambers death, Claire received a strange clock and stuffed rabbit toy previously owned by Mr. Chambers. On the first night of owning the clock, she quickly discovered that strange things happen when the clock strikes midnight, and that the stuffed rabbit, Poppin, is alive...

Current Bio: Claire currently lives in Regen, where she now deals with strange events that occur every midnight.

Meta-History: Claire was created in 2013 and originated in a random drawing I did of an anime girl: Clocks Clocks Clocks I had a bit of an idea for a story around that time about the misadventures of a girl and her (plush toy?) rabbit companion and a mysterious clock that causes strange (often bad) things to happen whenever the clock strikes midnight. While I did write a one-shot chapter for the story back in 2014: Clock Story Chapter One V1 I never really settled some of the main details of the story. Early on I wanted to add demon characters to the story, and at another point I wanted to make Claire a magical girl. I'm still not completely sure how I want the story to go to be honest, but Claire herself has remained pretty consistent throughout the concept. The only thing that I've never really been able to settle on for her is her hair, which is why I'm posting an alternate picture of her with a different hairstyle: Claire Aternate Hair I figure maybe she starts the story with the longer hairstyle, and at some point it gets cut into the shorter one. In the one-shot chapter, Claire reads the story Der Erlkönig, which is actually a German poem I had to memorize for German Class back in high school, and it is not long enough to be a book like it is in the one-shot (unless it's a picture book). I didn't have a name for her at first, and considered calling her "Amber" at one time, but eventually settled on "Claire".  Ironically, I later made another character named Claire for another story who also has orange hair, but the two are very different in terms of personality.

Relationships with other characters:

Poppin: While she doesn't completely trust Poppin, Claire often has no choice but to rely on Poppin's help whenever something strange occurs.

Charlotte: Claire is Charlotte's younger sister. The two usually get along, but whenever Amable is around the two tend to argue more.

Amable: Claire dislikes Amable and feels like he's a bad influence on her sister.
