Backstory: Eden is from the small town of Verdanturf, enjoying his proximity to the Mauville City mall. He spends most of his freetime browsing around and trying on clothes he can't afford. Since he has no proper sustainability, Eden makes most of his money battling random strangers and taking odd jobs around Hoenn. He prefers battling to get his money, spending his winnings on the needs of his pokemon. He hardly gets to spend any money on himself, but he's fine with that as long as his little guys are healthy and happy. Though he isn't selfish with his pokemon, he's an oddball with others. The only people he shows unwavering kindness to are Brendan and May, who he grows fond of and wants to act like an older sibling towards. Though he is generous to them, he can still be eccentric and put them in dangerous situations on occasion. He's a decently skilled trainer, but he wishes he could find his true calling in life. He gets tired of making his earnings with odd jobs and would like to find something he can enjoy permanently. He eventually finds this calling in pokemon contests, with his Furfrou becoming his usual show winner. Though his ace is Blaziken and his contest pokemon is Furfrou, Eden shares a strong bond with his Munchlax, affectionately named Lil Baxter. Lil Baxter and Eden met after the little pokemon stole a pair of Eden's shades. Eden was initially upset, having worried over the loss of his sunglasses, but thought the little guy so cute in them that he let him keep them. Though Eden didn't take him in after, the two would run into each other from time to time. Eden was always happy to see how well the little pokemon took care of the shades, and it eventually grew attached to him and wanted to join Eden's team. Well, how could Eden refuse? They're inseparable, to the point Lil Baxter refuses to stay in a ball. 

Personality: Eden is one of those people who show up when you need them the most, but this doesn't mean he makes situations easier. When it comes to May and Brendan, he will do what he can for them without asking for anything in return. With others, well, he will tease the person asking for help and then agree to assist them...for a price. After all, he's putting a pause on his very important work to help you out! He can be mouthy and short tempered, but you can count on him to get things done and lend an effective helping hand. Though he hides behind snarky remarks, sarcasm, and crypticness, Eden is a softy and gets easily flustered by nicknames and other intimacies. Once he likes you, he'll show a more compassionate side and do his best to encourage you and uplift you. Eden isn't very fond of grass-type pokemon because he gets allergic reactions around them. Not to say he hates them, but he doesn't like being around them and does his best to avoid them. 

Relationships:

May and Brendan: Eden first battles May or Brendan once they make it to Mauville City. He's so impressed by their skills and good nature that he takes it upon himself to help them whenever they need it. He may help them in the form of his various odd jobs, providing them with healing potions, and helping them during battles. He also challenges them here and there to sharpen their battling skills. May and Brendan think he's an oddball, but they appreciate his help and can tell he means well. With them, at least. They get nervous whenever Eden is mouthy with others and often beg him to ease off and not say anything that will offend any shady characters. Eden appreciates May's spunk and Brendan's good manners.

Team Aqua: "Wet nerds with drip, and not just the water."

Team Magma: "Sweaty nerds with no drip besides their sweat."

Aqua Leader Archie: Eden likes him the most of the two evil team leaders. Archie's charisma and kinder attitude towards May and Brendan easily make him more likable to Eden. 

Magma Leader Maxie: Initially, Eden can't stand the guy. Thinks he's a total weirdo for the way he talks to the kids and even after the incident with Groudon, Eden has a hard time liking him much. He eases off of him in due time, but still mocks his lack of style. 

Admin Tabitha: These two are like cat and dog with each other. Tabitha has a pretty short fuse already when it comes to Brendan and May, but Eden sets him off just by looking at him. Eden also didn't like him very much because of his attitude towards May and Brendan. Be that as it may, he respects his battling strategies and initially asked him to join team Magma, but Eden's insults towards his beloved team (calling them nerds) caused Tabitha to quickly grow irate with him. Whenever they run into each other, they exchange insults, sharp comebacks, and if things get especially heated, take it to the battle field. Despite the bickering, they grow to enjoy each other's company, though you wouldn't be able to tell at first glance. They're the type to deny any kind of attraction, but will think of each other when they're with other people. Despite that, they refuse to make it official and simply cherish what they have. When Eden found out about the nickname "Tabitabi" he used it against Tabitha the next time they met to tease him, prompting Tabitha to grow red in the face and retaliate by calling Eden "Denden." The retaliation made Eden grow red too and for once, Tabitha didn't hear a peep out of him. The nickname, though meant to taunt him back, flustered the heck out of Eden. He gets flustered again when Tabitha calls him a Cottonee over the two black strands of hair that stick out of both sides of Eden's head. The strands reminded him of a Cottonee's ears, and Eden nearly tripped over his own feet after being called that. Though grass-types tend to bother Eden, he still thought the comparison was cute. Tabitha secretly attends Eden's pokemon contests because he admires his showmanship just as he does his battling strategies. Overall, they go from genuine hostility to playful teasing and it gets cartoonishly silly as time goes by. 

Wallace: Eden finds him kind of annoying, but grows to like his flair. They definitely butt heads, but can forget any previous argument when the subject of fashion gets brought up. Eden chills out with him when he gets to know Lisia during pokemon contests. 

Steven: Eden thinks he's a huge nerd and doesn't really like the guy. Steven didn't do anything, but Eden can't stand a wealthy white boy. 

Lisia: Like May and Brendan, Eden is amicable towards the young contest star. He admires her technique and likes her upbeat energy.
