Her name is the Welsh translation of ‘grandmother’.
Mam-gi is a lil old woman who lives in a rural Welsh town with other anthropomorphic creatures. She is a Jackdaw (though i have unintentionally drawn her too much like a crow or a pigeon), and is old. One of her legs is a wooden peg. Her design takes inspiration from the Welsh nursery rhyme ‘Mi gwelais jac-y-do’ or ‘I saw a jackdaw’ (It’s about a jackdaw with a wooden leg and a top hat).
She cannot fly! She is far too old to fly now—-it is why she settled down in a town.
