Kani Venatrix

Kani Venatrix grew up as any normal satyr: with a loving community, kind parents, lovely forest homes and a LOT of vegetables.

You'd think this would be a great way to live, and it is except... Kani is an edgy teenager that just wants to go against the grain.

Why would satyrs only be allowed to eat stupid leaves and annoying veggies? Why was did satyrs not eat meat? Why did she have to be a poet or a writer or a farmer? Why was everyone so perfectly fine with stayingin this perfect little satyr fantasy?

So Kani became an omnivore. (She tried being a full carnivore out of spite, but found out very fast this was no good diet choice.) And she became a hunter, just to spite her parents. And no mom it is NOT a phase.

Surprisingly, Kani's parents and community didn't mind her teenage rebellion that much: it was a family trait. Of Kani's grandmother, Mildred Venatrix, the legendary barbarian satyr that travelled the world and kept their community safe. And of Kani's Grandfather, Henry Venatrix, the guy that hid in a shack on the hill, only eating meat for a month.

When Kani really got enough of her simple, peaceful satyr life, she decided to become an adventurer. Her parents though this would be good for their daughter, but only on one condition: Grandma is coming with you.
