Mamba

amba is a jolly and pleasant sight to any Nyokan coming back home from a hunt - Provided they've brought something back with them. The head chef of Nyoka, Mamba takes her job very seriously. She's quick to give praise (and alcohol) to those who bring back tasty morsels for her to prepare, but just as quick to give a verbal lashing to those who don't manage. All that said, her temper never remains for long, and those who earn her anger often end up with a little plate of goodies slipped their way in secrecy as an apology.

Given that non-toxic food is so difficult to make and procure within Nyoka, and bonding with outsiders is a must to keep the tribe's population going, Mamba has taken it upon herself to come up with meals that are more palatable for non-Nyoka natives. While she's known to give outsiders an upset tummy if she doesn't like them, she's crucial in making sure that Nyokans' bondmates don't die from poisoning in their first few weeks in the jungle.

Though they both make a point not to talk about it, Ladon and Mamba once had a heated, passionate romance in their youth before Ladon took over the tribe. Before Mamba met Legion, older members of the tribe whispered rumors that Mamba suffered a one-sided bond - A rumor that Mamba herself believed for the longest time. While still hurt by what happened with her old flame, Mamba is happy with her bondmate, and is working on repairing the friendship that she and Ladon once shared in their youth.
