About
Infamy within the gutter but only to be known by another name. A distinct prodigy of engineering that helped others within the lower district via means of technological advancements with the little resouces that had been spared to them beneath the grandious city of Solis. Due to many humble achivements beneath a moniker far from her birthed name, Astrid was persued by many a party. And it was for the longest time this engineer withstood the temptations of joining either the overtly zealous Cerebrus or the iron clad Blackguard while attempting to etch a life out of neutrality with the assistance of her younger brother. But all good things come to an end don't they? With the supposed eradication of her sister in law and small children; Astrid's brother went renegade, aligning with the very people they scorned. Not caring who else got in the way so long as damage was done to their oppressors where as she wanted to find meaning in supposed loss. Causing an indelible rift between the Novack siblings.
It was only until desperation for a better life and to access better resources to hunt down lost family that the engineer beneath her own name with out the merit of being Artemis that she applied for a once in a lifetime chance to be hired by the notorious Blackguard of the upper echelon. Learning only then that the monsters behind masks of glass and steel were really human - just as she teaches them that not everything is what it seems.
Design
Notes
- Astrid is one of the more sought after engineers in the upper crust of Solis. Only after a lot of work and struggle.
- Generally is very average looking and the only thing that stands out about her is those mirror like eyes and pale hair.
- Is incredibly empethetic with the plight of those in poverty and how they are being taken advantage of by the uppercrust of Solis and will vocalise it constantly despite her partner's disgruntlement.
- Can be quite loyal to her friends but wavers if they do questionable actions especially when they conflict with her out mindset.
Personality
Astrid would like to pride herself on being the pinnacle of calm and collected behavior that thrives solely on rational thought drowned in expertise for the mechanical. But that would be quite the lie; beneath the inital cucumber cool and dilligent facade that tries to trick people in to thinking she is an individual who only values precision and efficency. Which are all traits deemed favorable within the grasp of engineering despite it causing people to back away further or to even judge the surface level behavioralism that dictates how successful one is at a job. However, she is a rather reckless young woman whom once known well beyond the carefully blank personality or pointed jabs on lack in efficiency, poor morality or poor craftsmanship leans upon humor to hide her sensitivities and sincerity.

Retro Technology
Ultimately facinated by how far they have come when it comes to the current times. It helps the engineer understand the progression of human intelligence and how to problem solve from it.

People Watching
Often times Astrid finds her self watching the actions of other people fromt he mundane to work related tasks. Finding something enjoyable with just sitting around and self narrating the lives of people she knows nothin gof. An action that predates her employment.
Inventing.
A hobby that proves benefits for self and others; generally improvements on robotics that turn in to prosthetics for the needy. New improvements excite her nerdiness.
Dislikes
Consant Surveillance/ Lack of Privacy
Due to the invasive nature of her employers; multiple technolgies based on subterfuge and surveillance keep tabs on Astrid at the cost of her privacy. Causing her to go to greath lengths to conceal her past and the like
Cerebrus
For a group who claims to help humanity fight against being oppressed by the upper crust, they oppress those who do not align with thier values.
Inefficency
When something obviously takes too long, doesn't work correctly the first time or has been purposefully tampered with, her ire is invoked as it is time and lives wasted if it were not to work.
Unethical practices and compromises
Often times to do great works of good one has to teeter on the edge of doing bad or turning ones gaze away from those who practice questionable acts.
