Or at least, he's trying his best to cope with all the big changes that have happened throughout his life that he doesn't know how to accept quite yet.

His relationship with his step-parent, Ava, is... complicated. He doesn't know how to accept this new parent in his life after his mother, Belladonna, left so abruptly. And now, with Amos and Ava having another baby together, he feels like he's being left behind, but he can't bring this up to Amos, as after Belladonna left they both shut off their emotional vulnerability.
