The Fiend of Fenmoore has become the stuff of local legend in the area, keeping travelers on their toes at night and kits inside after dark. Wanderers are warned by tavern keepers to beware being alone in the forest at night. Mothers tell their kits to be home by sundown, lest the Fiend catch them and eat them for supper.

Unfortunately, Agares is very real. A twisted mutant of a woolyne, he is abnormally huge, scaly, and packing a threateningly vicious smile. His origins are unknown, but a long time ago he decided to make his home in the dark of the unsettled forests. Agares rarely lets a passerby live, or escape without a scratch. Those who claim to have witnessed him cry horrors of potential cannibalism. Others claim to have hunted for him, only to find nothing but the remains of other creatures scattered in the underbrush. The myths and warnings about the Fiend of Fenmoore vary depending on where you hear it, but needless to say, he is a Woolyne (if he is a Woolyne at all) that you never want to meet.

Agares fights with nothing but his teeth, claws, and brawn. Huge in stature for a Woolyne, he can physically overpower many without breaking a sweat. Weapons and Lyss are more likely to deal him damage than pure physical attacks, however his scaly skin is quite tough- it may take more than a quick jab with a sword or a small blast of fire lyss to wound him.
