Crys helps to keep the libraries of Sanctuary, collecting and caring for all the information they hold. He takes great care in his work: physical books are more fragile than digital copies, so they need to be taken care of differently. It's a slow, peaceful life, filled with the chance to read plenty of stories -- and even to write his own, in his free time -- and he is very satisfied with where he has ended up.

He is also a Flame: one of Sanctuary's finest, hidden among the rest of the city in case Sanctuary is ever in danger. His community don't know that he's a Flame -- they don't even know he can shapeshift -- but that is only more reason to do everything in his power to protect them.
