Kai

Energetic . Loud . Curious

Kai is a playful creature of the sea. She is a companion to all of the oceans inhabitants, including plants, animals, and humans. Her dorsal and tail fins make her appear similarly to a dolphin or shark, so many people without knowledge of these animals often fear her and identify her as such. She can live on both land and in water, as she has gills and lungs. She mainly lives on land, and visits the water to play and swim. Kai is an incredible swimmer, she has great endurance and she can reach fast speeds.

Kai made her lei herself after witnessing some humans create similar flower necklaces. She adores hers and wears it very often. Kai is also very curious, as she loves to collect things such as shells, rocks, pieces of coral, plants, and/or any other sort of interesting thing in the sea. Sometimes, Kai will get into places she's not supposed too when trying to retrieve her collections, which led to the few rips in her dorsal and tail fin. However, her blue pallete allows her to blend into the water and stay hidden most of the time.

However, since Kai is really only a small child, she can be loud and (sometimes) obnoxioius. Because of this, most quieter or slow-moving sea animals will avoid her, while more social animals will gravitate towards her! She has the ability to communicate with dolphins and most species porpoises through their recognizable clicks and whistles. A lot of the time though, she can read the room (or water) and will keep quiet so that she is able to exist peacefully among the animals of the sea.
