Squeaky

Named for the sound of chalk on their face Squeaky tries to be a friend to all. Inspired by adventurers before them Squeaky aims higher than the heavens to see what exists past the sky of the material plane.

they’re a warforged, and these were some ideas i had for ‘em as a dnd char :3c

• created by an artificer or wizard who was fascinated with space and the astral plane. they were intended to be a dnd version of a mars rover, basically. their creator wanted to launch them into the sky and see how habitable it was. the end goal was to essentially strap a magic missile type spell to their back and see how high up they could go, collecting data about what’s beyond the sky. Their creator really wanted to try and live up there.
• as tests, the creator would send them on deep sea explorations to ensure their body/tech would hold up. they have a great fondness for the sea bc of this - the feeling of weightlessness, the serenity, etc. Once they let a fish live in their “helmet” for almost a week before releasing it back to the ocean.
• their creator was old, and they outlived the poor wizard. now they don’t really know what to do with themselves. I can see them as a druid with an affinity for water and/or sky creatures, a monk trying to prove they have a soul/spirit, or a magic user trying to finish their creator’s work - getting up into the sky, flying, visiting the astral plane, etc.
• they use a piece of chalk to give themself facial expressions lmao. if they’re a magic user, maybe they use the same chalk to draw sigils and runes for their casting.
