Happy Mermay everyone! I don’t actively participate in month-prompts (too much commitment for me normally), but they help when I’m stuck trying to figure out what to draw.

Seeing a Narwhal prompt made me want to draw a merpony / hippocamp- Narwhals are prqactically unicorns of the sea, so don’t criticize the jump in logic too much. What was going to just be a sketch, I ended up adding a lot more character, and then I was determined to continue this concept later.

I love using my speckle brush but I don’t have any characters that use it, so matching the speckles of Narwhals, I splattered speckles everywhere. I love how they turned out. I had to reel back the horn a bit though because I just kept wanting it obnoxiously large lol.
