Dr. Bartholomew Beau Brumsfeld

STARFIELD UNIVERSE:

Dr. Bartholomew Beau Brumsfeld made a name for himself as a doctor. When he wasn’t healing patients who’d been mauled by alien wildlife, he was dabbling in secret experiments to boost human resiliency across various foreign ecosystems. The unethical nature of combining alien and human DNA to reach this goal left him short on experiment volunteers, but the prospect of a scientific breakthrough was too great to stop him. He injected the serum into his own system and was marred by the insectoid alien DNA, a swath of chitinous veins spreading across his face. He was quickly found out and banned from practicing medicine in the clinics before being exiled to Argos Extractors Mining. It was intended that he work in the mines for the rest of his years, scraping by to get himself a home on the fringes of the Settled Systems, but the finding of the first Artifact allowed him to join Constellation and lend his alien expertise to the team. However, he took Sarah Morgan at her word when it came to many of the crew having to do regretable acts to make ends meet. Seriously in debt to GalBank for a home loan, he spent some time as a debt collector to cover what the mining pay and Constellation’s pension would not. He’s also dabbled in becoming a Free Star Ranger, took up the Mantle of the Mantis and rebranded himself as “The Bee”, all while amassing a fortune through contraband smuggling. No one can say for certain why he hordes such wealth, but many speculate it may be to fund private research into curing the spreading growths across his body as the alien DNA slowly takes over his system… only time will tell if he finds a way to stop it before his sanity slips beyond saving.

FALLOUT UNIVERSE:

A honeybeast beekeeper and his traveling companion Anabelle. His family runs a prominent Honeybeast Farm down in Beeville, Texas. After tampering with the breeding process of Honeybeasts and implementing cloning procedures, he created an INFLUX OF BEES! While profitable for the family, the beasts also became harder to keep within their pens, and their constant escape resulted in the injury of many farmhands. Spending a good chunk of change the Brumsfelds hired a cadre of Texas Rangers to keep watch over their lands and made sure Bartholomew was under constant supervision. Without a beaker in his hands or the ability to tinker with machinery, he was forced to pick up a few field skills, namely finding out that he had quite a way of injecting people with Stimpaks while they swelled up from large quantities of stings. When his parents found out their money was being spent so frivolously on such expensive and easy medical practices they cut him off from any funding and sent him away to join the Rangers for good. He may be the least capable member the team has ever had but he sure does have 30,000 bees inside of one larger bee.
