He also has snuck into/around octarian territory to learn about their tactics/machinery (as his octoling girlfriend is very interested in it). He is never seen without a facemask in public, only taking it off at home, his gf is the only one who has ever seen him without it. He produces/DJs his gf's music, as she is an idol, and he has technical music knowledge.
