Appearance

Zeph is a tall (6’0”) half-Navajo young man with long auburn hair and hazel eyes. He has freckles on his face.

Zeph tends to wear breezy clothes, like long-sleeved shirts and loose pants in autumnal colors.

Personality

On the outset, Zeph is quiet, as he’s been conditioned to be. He appears perfectly obedient, timid and complacent. He doesn’t tend to talk but, if entertained, can talk for quite a while. He is often melancholy and sullen but hides a resentment just under the surface. This resentment manifests in him pushing the boundaries of his situation, taking delight when he can get one over on his Fae captors, using their perception of him being timid to his own advantage.

History

According to his Fae “parents” Brie and Aurelia, Zeph was adopted but the more apt description is “kidnapped”. He’s the spideog, or “sparrow”, to their changeling son. They tell him they love him but constantly ignore his various needs and wants, treating him more akin to a doll than a child. He knows they wish he was someone else but also that they have decided to keep him. They expect him to be joyful of the Fae invasion of Earth but all he can think about is opportunities for escape.

Skills

Zeph is very observant, much more than anyone gives him credit for. He doesn’t take any delight from it but understands how to use others’ perceptions of him to avoid harm. He’s a pretty good singer but hides it, wanting no one to use him for it. He also can mimic sounds.

• Zeph’s name is based off the word “zephyr” to mirror his changeling counterpart, Gale.
• Zeph is autistic and finds a lot of aspects of the Fae culture overwhelming and even upsetting.
• He likes to sing and often uses repetitive melodies as a vocal stim.
