Profile
RESTING Wight (WightCirrus) ★ disoriented | incomplete | surreal
Perpetually Distressed
Very little is known about Wight, although more is expected to emerge as they have now been reunited with their spectre, Cirrus. Physically their head is made of transparent quartz which makes it difficult to eat and reduces all possible speech to making clicking noises (which Wight is not lucid enough to work into a coherent method of communication), they prefer walking on their two legs even though as a chimera they are extremely poorly put together and therefore the twisted muscles make it really difficult to walk so they fall everywhere. Their front claws are twisted but almost usable as hands, their back ones are just paw pads.
Wight is an extreme example of an incomplete chimera, in that they have memories remaining but absolutely no means to organize them and thus their mind is absolutely chaotic. They frequently hallucinate and have completely skewed time perception. To make matters worse, Wight is also an incompatible chimera and thus cannot communicate at all. Since they were a seraph before they only understand High Celestial, they understand Cori (innate lord ability) and Wren but they don't understand Falla or Reven both of whom speak Avian.
Although WIght communicates on a low level they are very observant and good at detecting deception, something they usually attempt to communicate through rapid clicking. However their lack of coordination means that they're often a hindrance for the Party.
When the Party first met Wight they were wandering close to a human village and had been mistaken for a wendigo or 'wight', a human mythological type of ghost. When they discovered that this was instead an extremely disoriented chimera Reven compassionately adopted them into the Party. Until LuciferElisha returned Agrippa and Cirrus everyone assumed that Wight had been complete like Falla instead of missing a spectre. Now they are reunited everyone expects their condition to improve.
AWAKENED Wight (WightCirrus) ★ transcended | postconscious | powerful
Limitless Vessel
**this contains spoilers for up to and including the fourth arc**
Wight was created by FexorEnoch to be a vessel for Tapestry and the remaining consciousness of Elijah (of ValianceElijah). When in their normal forme (above) they are LetheCirrus suffering from psychosis as the result of trauma and the massive strain of containing the power within themselves, however when this power comes to the surface (normally triggered by Wight being near death which happens rarely because they're a chimera, a powerful magic user drawing them out, or a particularly important part of Tapestry coming to pass) their power awakens.
Once in this forme Wight's body changes, gaining four extra eyes and horns of shifting colours. Their tails will also multiply and the number will remain increased after they have transformed - the number of tails represents the progress of Tapestry (if it was delayed or partially reversed the number could decrease).
When like this Wight is usually possessed by the spirit of a powerful magic user who died during a magical disturbance - possibilities include Elijah, Valiance, or others. They will have access to all of their previous power and be split off entirely from Cirrus. They effectively become a magnet for powerful spirits and will be possessed by the most powerful magically imprinted disembodied individual nearby, sometimes more that one which can vy for control.
Cirrus (WightCirrus) ★ dynamic | hostile | short fuse
Angry Dude
Cirrus, like Agrippa, is traumatized from being separated from his body for so long. He is the only known spectre to use he/him pronouns besides Elisha of LuciferElisha.
He has a difficult time because in a sense he was happier when he was far from Wight. Although they are the same in terms of split Wight has been so altered that Cirrus continues to refer to him as Wight instead of as Lethe (like he was called before). Being close to Wight calms Wight down, but brings his chaotic thoughts into Cirrus's otherwise lucid mind which can be unpleasant. Cirrus finds being around Wight a huge strain, although it is better than the constant difficulty brought on by separation. He tends to keep his distance and try to operate as a separate individual, however because he stiff has a normal split (unlike Wren) he mostly fails.
Generally, Cirrus is grumpy and withdrawn, likely to lash out and blame others for his problems.
