Rhyan

  Nymphs are spirits of nature. They appear on places that are untouched or those that are free from pollution. They are designated or labeled of their element depending on where and when they are created or formed. In my story, she is born from the light of the moon. Thus, a moon nymph.The setting of the story is a world where magic and magical creatures like loup garous are part of normal life.

    Nymphs cannot go too far from their birth places and being a spirit means only few can see and touch them. Some nymphs are not fond of this notion that they wanted to be mortal.  In order for nature spirits to become a physical or mortal being, they must be borne from mortals.  They prayed for the heavens to help them. The heavens granted their prayers but for that, they must look for couples who wants to have a child dearly. The heavens summoned messengers to search for them. Once found, the nymph will turn herself into a cocoon and be given to the willing couple. They emerge from the cocoons as a young infant. The newly reborn nymph will have no recollection of her past and be like any normal baby. Their appearance would be based on those who took care of them. But only physical attributes. A nymph is always a nymph. Hence, the reason Rhyan does not look like the usual moon nymphs with white hair and blue eyes. Rhyan was taken care of a Loup garou father (Rhaine) and a human mother (No name yet). One can note, that all reborn nymphs have pointed ears and some have horns as they grow older.
