Early Life

She doesn't like to talk about it. Once upon a time, Sophie was a mine canary with bright ideas and eyes for a love that would never be hers. She could deal with that, until it all came crashing down, forcing her to flee. Shepherding in Hundhaven wasn't her first, second, or third choice, but she was happy. No one asked who she was, nobody cared, and she liked it that way for a few decades.

Gryphon Arc

A long time ago, when her friend Billy passed through Hundhaven, Sophie promised her anything. Then Billy made her godmother of her pups. Sophie never expected one day her goddaughter would literally wash up on the shore, asking to be taken to the worst place on earth. She vehemently refused until an ordinance from the Solar Court arrived, demanding all Lesser Gryphons report to the Stronghold. Sophie had hoped that day would never come, but at least Ginger got what she wanted.

Now, Sophie is back in her old home, more miserable than before. At least she was given her old shepherding job; someone high up must be looking out for her. Maybe she can live somewhat peacefully still. Now, suddenly, her charge has stopped a murder and, of course, Sophie is one unwanted step closer to the one person she wished she'd never see again. How do thes things find her?
