Name Origin

Crocell got his name from the 49th spirit of Goethia, a duke ruling over 48 legions in hell who takes the appearance of an Angel with the tendency to speak in dark an mysterious ways. When summed the Demon Crocell will teach you geometry and other liberal science, he's also able to warm bodies of water, create an illusion of rushing water or locate natural bodies of water. 

In all honesty though, Crocell is called the way he is because I wanted to create a character who shares the same name as a character from one of my favorite video games. 

Nicknames

Don't be fooled, there's nothing holy...or unholy...about this guy at all. Still depending on who you are asking: the other phantoms, his Master, Boss or Doc, the nicknames assigned to him may vary in one way or another, ranging from "that red-haired guy" to "Teddybär" and "Mom" or even "that terrifying little shit you better make a detour around"

Biography

An undead with a cheeky yet chill personality often teased to be the Mom of the Phantom Guards, who got revived after his death by his childhood friend and now fulfills the role of both said man's bodyguard and caretaker. 

Funfact

Crocell has a habit of speaking incredibly fast and saying something completly off topic without elaborating on it further and leaving the other person completly in the dark. He also has a habit on starting a conversation, before forgetting on what he wanted to say, which leads to him often being rather difficult to understand.

Dropping the colored pencil in a startled manner, a small mop of grey hair and bright yellow eyes turn to look up towards the red haired adult peeking curiously seated from behind. 

,,Mhm, let's see...", no words come from the child as the adult focuses their full attention on the little drawing on the table, observing how the Avian reaches out to touch a figure on the scribbled piece of a colored mess.

,,That's your Dad, could recognize that awful hair and fashion choice from anywhere", a quiet laugh escapes the older, as the five year old let's out a surprised gasp, their eyes beginning to sparkle as their nod excitedly. ,,D-daddy!" - Crocell spending time with Zero.

Pyrria is a Kingdom located within the deepest parts of the Jungle, it's unique layout and lurking Monsters make it difficult for outsiders to navigate, while residents use the labyrinth like structure of their environment to their advantage building their homes high atop the trees to hide from prederators. 

One of the biggest attractions Pyrria has to over his a majestic giant of a Tree, which the citizens of the nations belive to have been blessed by their beloved Godess and thus became known as a symbol of the divine. Lucian himself grew up in the Castle build in the crown of said tree with suspension bridges connecting the platform around the castle with the different tree houses surrounding the architecture. Due to not all citizens of Pyrria able to fly, some rope bridges also reach towards the ground to make it easier for non-avians to climb up, however these bridges are usually secured high above ground the moment the sun begins to sink,- due to the monster starting to wake up once the moon begins to rise....to your own savety it's generaly advised to not leave your house during the night and avoid commotions such as light or noise that could attract the beasts attention.

Current Home

Astra is a dessert Nation known for its miles on miles of absolute nothingness, though some might argue that despite its harsh and rough living conditions the land itself consists of more stones than sand. Yet it's seas of hot magma and active vulcanic craters make the Nation appear dangerous and inhabitable all the same. 

While the earth around the active vulcans are known to be of highest quality and extremly nutrituos for plants to grow, it's high in sulfur concentrated air curtesy of the craters and magma will make it difficult for any creature to breath. Which is why over time it's local citizen began migrating underneath the ground to escape both suffocating air and insufferable temperatures.

Many decades went by before it's descendants would become eventually known for their impressive masterpiece of a City built with a labyrinth structure and multiple tunnels spanning kilometers underground. The whole place illuminated by nothing more than glowing crystals and fluorescent flowers curtesy of the Nations very own strange yet curious flora and fauna.

His eyes are a bright green with pupils that have the ability to form into slits like a prederator if he feels cornered or angered. Normaly the outer part of his eyes is a pure white, but it can turn black when he hasnt been under "Cupid's" ability for quite some time and needs to recharge in order for his body to not fall apart at the seems.       

Eyecolor

A very hard to ignore red that catches the attention of others immidiently whether he feels like taking the spotlight or not. 

Skintone

Crocell skin is two-toned due to Hektor being forced to either replace or patch up parts of his body after his death. Crocell has a tan skin color with the patched up places taking on a more darker tone, he also has light spots of brown located right above his cheeks and a darker one on his nose. 

Tattoo

Crocell has a Tattoo on his right chest, symbolizing the Group he is a part of. Like every other Member of the Phantom Guards, the Tattoo he wears shows a dragon made out of Arrows circling around their respective numbers.

Crocell was the first non-demon and "criminal" to be offered the position of a Phantom guard, effectively replacing the previous third member after their death. 

Scars

One off Crocell's more hardly to ignore and instantly to recognize features would probably the scar that travels all around his neck with professional made stitches running all across. While its by far not the only scar the red haired Avian received from his countless battles, it's arguably the one he treasures the most...much to Cecills confusion, considering the undead "earned" that scar when Cecill beheaded him. Still while it used to be a painful reminder of his unatural and abnormal situation, the redhead ever since has began to see it more as a leftover of his first meeting with what would become one of his best Friends and Comrades, as well as their determination to survive.

Soulband

A Soulband is an internationally issued device disguised as a black band with a neon glowing light, which is given out to registered citizens of each Nation right after their birth. Due to each citizen receiving their device in the first moments of their live, the public tends to see these Soulbands as an individuals first gifts besides their name.  

These devises are essential items to those that wish to fully function in Andorn or move between Country's without facing any issues, seeing as Soulbands serve a variety of different purposes intended to make a citizens life easier: from personal ID able to information specifically tailored to the owner of the device such as their Height, Age, Species, Blood type, Appearance, address, occupation or birthday etc. they also double as a bankaccount while storing information about an individuals contacts, ticket-information, travelpass, health, criminal record or current location. 

While the sensitive data collected by the device faces a high risk of getting potentially abused by either government or third parties, it's widely believed that under normal circumstances said information would come in handy until absolutely necessary. That said the glowing light of the device serves a specific purpose as well, because during its invention each Nation had been assigned a specific color. 

In other words the glowing light of the item can be used to quickly tell where it's owner originates from without hawing to look up personal files and search for their Nationality. Yet, despite all the good that comes from wearing these devices, from all the promises to supposedly make life easier and less stressful for it's owner, wearing these items is not a choice. 

According to the law under no circumstances is the Owner allowed to take their Soulband off, furthermore these devices have to be worn in a place where they are easily accessible and to see, costumizing or decorating is also seen as against the law,- breaking these rules will come with its own set of consequences. Despite these limitations the Owner of a Soulband is free to wear their device wherever they please, as long as it's easy for officials to spot. Some may choose to wear their Soulband around their neck, others around their feet or wrist, while wanted criminals...where none at all.

After dying Crocell became an undead, while he himself would love to stay dead and final move on towards the afterlife, he can't help but feel the need to keep watching over his childhood friend and protect them until Lucian realises the truth. 

Aside from the weird skin patches littered all over his body, Crocell doesn't appear all too different from regular humanoid creatures...normaly. Because he had been revived by an ability and is basically kept alive by said ability, Crocell is bound to the Necromancer who dragged him back. 

Meaning the Avian can't leave Lucian's side for longer than a set amount of time or distance, he also needs to recharge his energy,- which basically means feeding off of Lucian's mana. In case he loses to much mana and can't recharge it in time or gets seperated from the Necromancer for too long, his body will start to deteriorate. Meaning his flesh will start to rott, giving off the stench of death, his brain will shut down, leaving him in a more zombie-ask state until his body shuts down completly and he'll die, returning to the earth itself. 

Former Species

Just like Lucian, Crocell used to be part of an Avian species called "Himmelsflügler" humanoid creatures with bird traits and wings. They are extremely prideful and usually keep to themselves within the depths of their Nation, they also seem to believe that anybody else is beneath them and that they are the most elegant and majestic. 

Their species may not look like much at first glance, just some humans with feathers, wings and a tail. Yet if they feel threatened or backed into a corner their "human disguise" will break, a Himmelsflügler that feels fear or rage will transform into monstrous and inky bird creatures.

Abilities

Technically "Moon Harvest" isn't a magical Power he was fated to obtain during his growth, it's not even an Ability in the first place but a result of the mutation he was born with. 

Now the mutation someone is born with can, depending on the circumstances, vary in both type and severity. While Crocell to the outside appears to be a perfectly healthy teenager the mutation he was born with reveals itself from the inside, an anomaly of his genes. 

If it wasn't for the blood running through his veins perhaps the tribes elders wouldn't have batted an eye towards the curious child.

Detailed Description

Generally speaking while his body is able to create an acid that's easily absorbed by the blood flowing through his veins, as long as he isn't injured this anomaly can do no harm. As long as it stays within his body that is. 

You see the moment his blood comes into contact with air, the acid, within the blood, will cause an reaction with the air that will force the blood to instantly harden and it's acid-ask proberties come to light.  

It took quite a lot of trial and error but Crocell became able to use his blood to create a scythe or daggers for him to use in a fight. Through the nature of his weapon everything that comes into contact with it will foul or die, depending on how "healthy" Crocells body is the acid may vary in it's severity. 

Downsides

Because it's not an Ability but a mutation, "Moon Harvest" has no significant downsides that could affect the user in negative ways. Knowing that you could even go as far as to say that this mutation merely exists as a response to danger, a hidden function born through evolution to ensure ones survival.

That said "Moon Harvest" will quickly become useless if you make sure to not injure Crocell to the point of bleeding or make sure to avoid his Scythe coming into close enough range in the first place.

Occupation 

Previously trained to become a mindless puppet controlled by the elders of their tribe to automatically follow and carrying out orders without a second thought. After his third death, followed by his revival through Lucian's ability, the Avian became a member of the Phantom Guards after defeating, and killing, one of the previous Phantoms in a 1 on 1 (also known as a "Duel of Courage") and taking their spot. 

Even if the Phantom Guards are counted as a part of the Astrian Military or a part of the Country's defense, they don't take orders from the Queen herself at all. In reality their a small scale unit, under the leadership of Ema-ho, who functions more as a mercanary group. Taking on any odd jobs if the pay is right, often being hired by wealthy cities or people to protect the citizens, eliminate a target or hunting down Inks going rampant in the area terrorizing the people.

Personality

Despite having the mind of a functioning Adult his personality is more akin to a teenager. Crocell is a twisted character with way to much Ego for his own good often resulting in either Denvié or Cecill being forced to drag him back to face reality. He also has habit of abusing others weaknesses and information for his own gain not caring for the affected person in the slightest. 

He loves to fight and spill the blood of others even going as far as him rushing into action or going feral at the thought of a good fight with another party. Actually Crocell seems to be rushing into a lot of situations without pausing for a moment and thinking things through at first,- not that he would need to, that's what his Team Members and the Genius Strategist are here for. 

Crocell has a lot of temperament and a teasing personality who enjoys riling others up or has a habit of thinking a bit more perverted, much to Lucian's ever growing annoyance. He is playful and loud mouthed yet also caring when the situation calls for it often acting as the "Mother" of their group, something Lucian often has to experience first hand. 

Fears

× entomophobia, the fear of insects. It's also one of the main reasons he refuses to seperate from Lucian over long distances or for more than half an hour. Go figure. 

Habits 

Ever wondered why his nickname is "Teddybär"? Crocell knows no personal boundaries and loves to be physically affectionate, this combination together with his personality lead to him hugging others a LOT. Crocell loves to hug and cuddle his friends, doesn't matter if it's to comfort them or with no particular reason,- he's just loves how to show how much he loves or cares for someone by being physically affectionate.

× reading about gossip or partaking in it himself, he loves making fun of the stupity of others or getting a laugh out of it. For some odd reason he finds this "crappy behavior" pretty entertaining. 

× he loves to cook, the others always joke about this being his love language even if the new recepies he tends to explore not always lead to the most delicious meal. 

× Crocell loves Cats but was never allowed to keep and care for one as a child, due to his parents being way more careful after their precious son wished to have his own pet and it turned out to be some wild animal he had dragged home from the jungle. Because taking care of Lucian and their job make it hard to have enough time to properly raise a pet as well, he makes due with it by being at least friends with a blinded cat demon and a Gryphon. 

× he adores music, especially concerts or musicals. If hes interested or invested enough it's easy for him to fall into the rabbit hole of becoming a little nerd or big fanboy for his favourite artists or plays. 

× Crocell enjoys fighting others and testing his strength in a fight, slowly growing from the experience while also loving the thought of slowly riling his enemy up, playing with them until they believe to have the upper hand just to see them sucump to absolute despair once he starts to give it his all

Crocell enjoyed a save and sheltered childhood with Parents who loved him dearly. While he finds himself unable to recall neither name or face, he does know that his Parents were always at odds with the tribes stubborn and traditional minded elders, due to the nature of his birth. 

The elders believed that a child born with a mutation was a bad omen and needed to be dealt with imminently otherwise the curse might spread and infect all of the other younglings, apart from bringing dishonor to the fletchings family. Although Crocell's mutation wasn't visible to the naked eye, it still existed which in turn meant that his Parents lived and raised their precious son with a constant threat above their heads. 

Yet all of their efforts proved to be futile, no matter how hard they tried to keep their child safe, to hide him from the elders interest,- all of their attempts proved to be futile when truth came to light. Though different to what the Parents feared the elders never forced them to give up their child, to leave him inside the jungle to challenge his own impending doom. 

The moment Crocell's identity became known his, out of the mutation born, ability immidiently received the elders attention. Believing that this rare yet destructive ability could prove to be a key factor in their ever growing war against the demons, the elders were against killing him of immidiently....choosing to turn him into a soldier, a mindless puppet instead. 

When word got out that Crocell had been slain by a Demon the tribes elders believed the curse to have been broken for good, granting the young man's griving family a place back inside their tribe as well as their long lost honor.

The two of them meet brievly as children when Crocell attempted to retrieve a ball, for a small group of other children from their tribe, by crash landing into the others house,- save to say he ended up scaring the shit out of a small socially awkward child using themself with their yet to be finished homework. 

Although the both of them would go on to notice eachother here and there throughout their childhood, they never officially striked up a conversation or introduced themself to one another. However this would happen years later when the aspiring Doctor was tasked with inspecting the retrieved corpse of a previously fallen soldier. 

Aside from the Demon King, Lance and Cecill, Hektor belongs to one of the few who know about Crocell's revival, a crucial piece of information the redhead often abuses. While Hektor often calls Crocell a "crazy bastard" or "terrifying little shit", he feels somewhat affectioned towards the "anomaly of mysterious origin" and even went as far as to promise that he would treat the others secret as confidential information towards the others blue haired childhood friend.

The is the youngest member of the Pyrrian royal Family and the one who was responsible for reviving the redhaired Avian for the three times they've already passed, although runnaway Prince my not be aware of the true nature of the ability's he had received from his Father or about the potential slumbering within. But perhaps this was for the best, how would the bluenette even react if he received word of his childhood friend having passed away two times already? How they didn't just fall asleep or how, everytime he unconsciously used his ability inorder to bring his dear friends corpse back into the waking world, said friend would lose a part of themself...a precious memory that couldn't be recovered. 

Why would he still view Crocell the same? Will he cry and grieve? Or will he feel guilty? Perhaps even betrayed over the thought that his childhood friend didn't become his major caretaker and bodyguard out of affection and care, but because "Cupid's Kiss" forced Crocell to never leave his side for more than a few hours or a certain distance. 

But would that even matter? After all out of the redhead's smal social circle the young prince was perhaps his closest friend and the one person who had known him the longest. Which wasnt surprising at all, considering how the two of would that even matter? Yet, these two didn't get along at first. I fact their first meeting resulted in a panicked mother running after a Knight because some spoiled little prince keept on screaming bloody murder over a "street rat wanting to devour them",- when in actuality all that happened was a certain overly excited redheaded spawn of chaos wanting to give his "new friend" a hug, Lucian just didn't realise his fate brought upon by this random child quite yet. 

Maybe him constantly claiming that he would be the one to marry his dear friend "Lu", when he neither realise their differences in status nor the fact that said "Lu" wasn't a girl, like how he assumed, until 16 years later also did not help....certainly earned himself a laugh from the bluenettes Father. 

Cecill | Demon | best Friend | alive

He wasn't much older than Crocell when they first came face to face, not as friends, not as fleeting acquaintances but soldiers fighting at the Frontline of different sides of two war seeking Nations. They both lacked the experience of real battles, never before having claimed a life before, it didn't help that they seemed to be on similar levels of skills and strength yet ultimately...Cecill was faster. The Avians lifeless body later was retrieved by the demons to be used as a research object, after the fight had come to a sudden halt. 

Crocell had been the first person Cecill has ever murdered, the first person the older demon felt regret towards,- he never meant for things to end this way, when he joined the phantom guards he never imagined to be forced to claim a life before. So imagine his Suprise when the very person that's supposed to be extremely very very dead, was sitting inside the doctors office curiously inspecting his wounds like nothing serious happened hours prior. 

While the two had meet with a rocky start that only got fueled by one person's guilt and the others, who was definetly not dead, ever growing boredom during their imprisionment, they still managed to become somewhat close to friends at the end of it. Lance and Crocell would often volunteer watching the kids when their dad couldn't make it.

In all honesty when Cecill one day loudly declared that he would be impulsivly adopting two children he had found carelessly discarded out on the street, Crocells first reaction was to laugh. His second reaction after Cecill jokingly dared him to become the little boys uncle was to agree wholeheartedly. 

Cecill would often annoy the Avian with his troubles, when he was unsure about if he was doing the right thing or became confused about certain situations in the upbringing of children, not being used to raise a child or fullfill the role of a parent seeing how young he had been. While Crocell didn't have any experience in parenting either he at least new a thing or two from babysitting an overgrown child.
