Pax (or Paix, the spelling changed as the centuries passed) was a prince of the tribe roughly 500 years before the present. He had a sister who held the throne for a few years, but she died shortly after she had a heir. Pax ran the tribe until the heir was old enough. 

During the years he was a stand-in king, Pax had to hold off a sizable rebellion. He ended it with the aid of the Skywings, who only wanted favorable trade deals in exchange for their help.
