Dourrin and her twin, Dee, both popped into the world on the beaches of Inferbis, the result of a pilgrimage of inland conikyrns celebrating having finally reached the island's beautiful shores. While xir sibling remained by the sea, Dourrin joined the returning inland conikyrns on their long trek back to their city, craving knowledge and adventure. Dourrin's main scientific study is concerned with conikyrn genetics, and how their fur and skin is able to change so drastically. For conikyrns, science and fashion are inextricably linked, as her experiments with colour and material are always of great interest to conis that love to body mod -- as a recent Clarux resident, she's developed a fantastic symbiotic relationship with the local conis that want to learn how to turn themselves into crazier and crazier works of art.

Dourrin's fur pattern changes constantly, originally from eir constant exposure to experimental mediums, and soon after, because ey began to focus on self-experimentation! Her most recent fur patterning is the result of controlled explosions over short intervals, and if she lives to see the end of her research, there will likely be many more explosion-based experiments on the horizon!
