Personality

Stubborn, determined. Will fight you, which is unfortunately because she's not a very skilled fighter. Loyal to a fault. Justice-seeking. Very compassionate and unafraid to speak up when she sees injustice or unfairness in the world.

Appearance

An apricot-colored cat with long fur and small tufts on her ears. Her fur is darker on her back and tail in the shape of a moth. She has a similar darker moth-shaped patch on her face. She has white toes on her front paws, a white flash, and a white muzzle. Her flash and muzzle are not symmetrical. She has green eyes. She is sturdy and wide in the chest, but has quite small paws. She normally stands a little wide-legged because of her disability making it hard for her to keep her balance. She has an intense resting bitch face.

Sometimes she wears a necklace made for her by her RiverClan friend Dapplecall. It is a small wooden moth token tied to a strip of dried guts. She wears this either on her tail or around her neck.

Backstory

Very briefly, leaving many important details out:

She was born as Mothkit to her doting mother Wildstep and father Ratpelt, alongside her siblings Smokekit and Fernkit. Her mother "died" shortly after her birth, leaving her to be raised by her father. (In reality, her mother fled the Clans, partially to escape her mate's abusive grasp and partially because she hated upholding the violence the Warrior Code demands. However, while Mothfall eventually comes to suspect this may have been what happened, she is never able to confirm it herself.) As a kit, she was always her father's favorite, babied incessantly, in part due to her disability - she has hypoplasia, or wobbly cat syndrome, and struggles to stay upright.

As an apprentice, she struggled to keep up with her siblings. Her sister's best friend, and another favorite clanmate of Ratpelt's died during her warrior assessment, which left a profound impact on the family. Ratpelt took to mentoring Mothpaw personally, in secret, in addition to her normal mentoring with Shortleg. This eventually overextended her and she ended up overworked and stuck in the medicine den. In spending so much time in the medicine den, she grew close to the Clan's medicine cat, a kind old tom named Ambereye. Her training had to be extended for several moons because of how badly she hurt herself and her limited work schedule moving forward. 

Mothpaw's extended training ostracized her from her Clanmates, as well as her insistent meddling. Her father had told her that it was always important to follow the code and do the right thing - in his mind, "the right thing" meant following his every whim. To Mothpaw, it meant picking fights and demanding justice and fairness wherever she saw a deficit. In her loneliness and frustration, she found solace in a group of mixed Clan cats and loners that called themselves FunClan. They weren't repulsed by her meddling, and some of them even found it charming. It was there she met her best friend, Shortstone, a small WindClan molly.

Mothfall's meddling only became more of a nuisance upon earning her full name. This did not improve when she refused to do a gross favor for her father. Their relationship soured, and he retaliated by spreading rumors about her. After a particularly bad bout of greencough, the deputy retired, and against her best efforts her father was promoted to deputy in her stead. One day Mothfall caught Ratpelt attempting to murder the current leader in order to become leader himself, and fought him off. He taunted her to kill him, but she chose to exile him instead, in the hope that this would put enough physical and emotional distance  between himself and StarClan that he would never be able to join, and never continue his whiles as a StarClan spirit.

Impressed by her bravery, and knowing that she would always put the well-being of the Clan above her own image, unlike her father, the leader made deputy.

Mothfall's deputyship and leadership were never easy. She comes into power in a time of hardship for all of the Clans, and her ability to lead was often questioned by her Clanmates. However, she never stopped trying to do her best, regardless of what others around her said.
