Appearance

Hex is a Whiskarian, meaning he’s an alien that appears as an anthropomorphic cat with large, bat-like ears, a long tail, clawed hands and feet, whiskers with soft fur at the tips and ruffs on his collar, wrists and ankles. He is blue-black in color with darker fur on his ruffs and his whisker tips are bright blue. His nose is also bright blue. His hair and collar ruff is styled to the right, making his hair cover his right eye. His eyes are bright cyan.

Hex wears a purple collar with gold trim, golden cuffs on his wrists and ankles, tight blue-purple fabric around his waist, forearms and shins, nearly black shoes and an airy bright purple jumpsuit under. He also wears two cuffs around his tail and two golden hoops in each ear.

Personality

Straight-laced and serious, Hex is the opposite of his sister. He prefers things done the way they should and as efficient as possible. He doesn’t tolerate ignorance or playing around, especially on the job. This has earned him somewhat of a reputation of a ‘no fun allowed’ type which he vehemently denies. He likes the quieter and more relaxed things in life and easily gets overwhelmed by large gatherings. As a result, he likes being in smaller groups and is somewhat asocial. Despite him and his sister’s misgivings, they are extremely loyal to each other and above all others.

History

Hex and Jinx were the second additions to Hakkl’s crew when the pair tried to scam her. Hakkl, unamused, prepared to give them a beating to show them what a mistake they made. But the pair had many tricks up their sleeves, dazzling and confusing her with esoteric magicks. When Hakkl finally got a hit on Hex, she found him a practical fighter and that his sister was not unwilling to double team her. When the fight was finally done, Hakkl was beaten and humbled. So humbled she offered the pair a moderately more distinguished job as mercenaries. Jinx jumped on the opportunity but it was Hex who stopped her, wanting to ask her more. After getting more information, he decided it was a better job than what they were doing and joined her crew.

Skills

Hex and Jinx specialize in magic, their specialty being illusion and warping others perceptions. They also use it to materialize weapons, Hex’s signature being curved knives. Both are capable fighters, being able to move numbly and acrobatically while dealing fast, hard blows. Hex is the more ki-oriented fighter, augmenting his blows with ki and using ki attacks more often.
