Roxy Darleen Rabe von Patenheimer, also known as Roxy, believed she was well-prepared to face the world beyond the heavy doors of her Vault. The Vault dwellers of Vault 76 were an exceptional group of people - the smartest, most talented, and most resourceful individuals around. Roxy's family was no exception. They were part of a long line of German nobility, and some of her ancestors even migrated to the United States to expand their family business, which was centred around blades, knives, and swords - and pretty much anything that is sharp and cuts deep. However, their true passion was profit. Unfortunately, Roxy was a spoiled young woman with a fragile ego who had spent her entire life in the vault trying to meet everyone's expectations. Outside the vault, Roxy quickly learned that her skills were of little value. Unlike the other gifted individuals, Roxy's talents were focused on collecting sympathy points from others and using them to her advantage. After a fight where she revealed her true colours, she was excluded from the group of settlers. Fueled by hatred, she joined a group of raiders and manipulated her way to the top. In the harsh wasteland, Roxy learned that only those who could shoot faster and harder than the rest would survive. Knives and similar weapons were merely child's play to her.

Sam once rescued her from a difficult situation, and the two developed a short-lived love interest in each other, which quickly faded when Sam realized that Roxy was seriously messed up - and not in a funny way, but in a dangerous way. Saddened by the break with the mysterious stranger, Roxy made it her mission to target Sam and wipe her scarred face from this broken world in the most dramatic way possible. She clearly favours heavy weapons for this task, which is not a problem for her. Despite her Barbie-like appearance, she is athletically fit and stronger than most would expect.
