At a glance, Ben seems to be little more than a handyman and loving father, and he certainly claims to wish for nothing more. Few who haven’t known him for more than a few years could ever guess that he has a Resistance uniform hanging up in his closet.

One of the Resistance’s first ever trainees, this jackalope-of-all-trades thought he’d finally found his true calling as an elite cog fighter after so many years of struggling to decide on any one of his interests to commit to as a career. As much as he loved playing music, writing songs, reading about the latest scientific breakthroughs, tutoring kids, filling potholes, fixing leaks, and just about anything else he could feasibly try, helping defend Toontown from the cogs after the Doomsday invasion got his blood pumping like nothing else could. He loved making a difference more than anything else.

These days, however, his part in the Resistance is little more than a backup Ranger for those times of crisis when they need as many hands on deck as they can get. After nearly losing his son when his wife of over a decade was revealed to have been secretly working for the cogs, he hung up his sash and put all of his energy instead into ensuring that his son wouldn’t have to worry about if the cogs were going to take his other parent as well.
