Beetle ' Kit was born as the only kit of his litter to Deepwood ' Melody and Oppossum ' Star. Despite the standing myth that having an only kit is a bad omen, Deepwood and Oppossum love their kit as much as they had loved Hare, Centipede, and... to a lesser extent, Obsidian. Beetle ' Kit loves and appreciates his older sisters, even if Obsidian was born with powers that don't belong to it's clan, and is not a high-ranking cat. He sees no difference.

Beetle ' Kit has problems controlling his anger sometimes, and it is not uncommon to get a snappy, rhetorical response from him. Even if it doesn't look like it, Beetle ' Kit is trying his very best to get them under control, as he knows how much of a hassle it is to deal with someone so angry as he is. His sisters know he is, and that's all the support Beetle needs.
