Belinay would be considered an isolationist. She spends her time alone and would prefer not to interact with the world outside her tower. She is a selfish person who doesn't go out of her way to make friends, or help others, unless there is something in it for her. She doesn't shout or argue with others, she just doesn't like them. She prefers to be locked in her tower, studying, creating, rather than socializing.

Belinay never used to be so adverse to people, in fact she used to be very helpful and engaging. She took great enjoyment out of helping others and spreading happiness to the world around her. Occasionally she can still be that, but it's very rare that anyone actually sees it. Now it seems, the only displays of happiness shown from her are from getting something right, or learning something new. She has a tendancy to be a bit snarky, but she has darker experiences than others. She also like to joke with people that bother her in order to get them to go away.

Belinay grew up in the town of Mirel, a place that borders an evil forest full of dangerous and evil creatures. It is the job of the people of Mirel to keep these demons at bay, and from the rest of the land. For this reason, many people are gifted in ways that others are not. Belinay comes from a long line of witches and warlocks, so it was no surprise to anyone when she began showing signs of magic. They were surprised about how soon, but that just meant they had a strong fighter. Just like the rest of the children in her town, she was taught to fight monsters. Her family taught her magic, while the Dieatriv taught her to wield weapons. It was clear that as she trained, she held a greater well of magic than most of the other magic users in her town, including her family. When she ran out of things to be taught, she started teaching herself and learning beyond what her people could teach her.

As it is her duty to fight the evil that leaks out of the forest, she has seen more battle than most soliders. She has seen true nightmares that most people can only dream up. Some of these evils were physically overpowering, needing bodily treatment. Some were psychologically damaging. Some were even emotionally terrifying. Nothing, nothing was as terrifying as her people completely abandoning her. They felt she had grown too powerful, too dangerous. Her own family grew scared of her! When they left her to defend herself against an Alpha alone, she knew that no one could be trusted.

Returning to Mirel after meeting the monster in a stalemate, she burned down the town. She knew the importance of the town and so she left enough people alive that they could rebuild and do their duties, but she wanted to make a point. However, this attack caused the death of her family; leaving her the last of their family to carry on their magic. After she was done, she left and errected The Endless Tower to isolate herself. That is where she has remained for an unknown amount of time, becoming nothing more than a legend people tell each other.
