Sengo is a recluse. He hardly leaves his temple's premises, although recently people have been abandoning the Gokayama village due to the amount of civillians reported missing, which leads him to search elsewhere for his victims.

He blends in well with the night, most townspeople assuming he's a solitary samurai only doing his job.

When spoken to, he maintains a reserved yet senseless nature unless provoked. His expression remains like that of a gargoyle peering down at those who dare enter its residence.

During conversations, he is extremely mild with his choice of words. He speaks his mind bluntly and doesn't seem to care about the opinions of others. He hardly understands the feelings of people or their perspectives. To him, he only has the right opinion, leaving him with an unlikeable and egostical personality.

When Sengo's precious Muramasa is stolen from him, and once every shred of hope getting it back is ripped apart, a shy and regretful young man is all there is left.

Biography

It all starts with a little temptation. He once saw a scroll that spoke of the demonic Muramasa Blade, a family heirloom hidden away in a blessed temple for good measure. For if it were to ever leave that place in someone's hands, its chaos would be unleashed once more, and many more lives would be lost.

For a few days, maybe weeks, he never thought of paying it a visit. Though, like Pandora, knowing that he technically was in posession of it drove him crazy. The urge to see this possessed sword would swallow him whole.

It couldn't be real, could it? The myth sounded like such a hoax.

Being used for beheading those who were unfortunate enough to meet its host. The blood that spilt on it only staying for one or two seconds before absorbing into the tamahagane steel.

One day, he sought to find the temple that sealed this legendary weapon. He brought the key that ended up in his hands gifted from an unknown relative. Surely enough there it was. Scattered almost everywhere on the grounds and walls were scrolls detailing the demises of those who the blade fell upon. Sengo didn't take the time to closely read any of it, as he's immediately drawn to the muramasa's impeccable sheen.

Despite the tales describing it as a weapon used for many battles, it looked as if it was forged yesterday. Graciously, he took it home. From that point on, he was never the same again.

First, he felt the urge for bloodshed. It started when he spoke to his daimyo the very next day. Eventually, it ended up with his lord beheaded. Sengo showed no remorse, completely devoid of all emotion.

He lowers his blade into the pool of red crimson, observing it seep into the muramasa.

It was only when the samurai had finished that he realized his actions. He broke his rules. Multiple of them. However, since he saw no immediate punishment, the ounce of shame he experienced faded away.

Enabling him to kill, and kill again.
