He calls himself "Ray" for short.

Ray is very energetic and peppy, and he loves to tease others playfully. He was extremely good friends with Viv before Sliver of Straw's death, when the other wordlessly cut all ties to the global communication network. Before then, however, the two would talk for hours on end almost every day.

Ray is also a member of Sliver of Straw's local group, and has remained in contact with the rest of the members even after her death. Though, after Viv cut ties with the local group, Della was the only iterator who Ray talked with often. However, Ray still spends most of his time alone.

Though Ray never got the chance to find out why Viv cut ties with him, along with every other iterator, at the time he did, he was just as heartbroken to have lost his best friend. Since that day, Ray has been desperately trying to regain some form of contract with Viv, although, results of these attempts have remained inconclusive.

Ray now spends most of his time sending out his orange overseers to various locations in an attempt to locate Viv.
