Profile

He’s a prince who was born extremely poorly. When he hatched from his egg, his body was deformed. His legs didn’t properly develop and were twisted backwards. He didn’t have a tail. His horns were weak membranes. He was blind and deaf. His heart was twice the normal size and rested outside of his chest, covered by a thin layer of scales

His mother, Queen Azure, struggled with infertility and he was her only dragonet, so she sent messages to a healer in Pyrhiia. The healer, a Night/Ice hybrid named Nightwhisper, flew to Pantala to help. Upon arriving, the SilkWing prince was on deaths door.

Nightwhisper happened to be an animus, and while she preferred to use herbal medicine over her powers, she knew she could only save this hatchling by using her powers.

In the hatchery was a sculpture of a celestial SilkWing made out of colored blown glass. Azure and Nightwhisper came up with a plan: they were transfer the baby’s soul into that statue and it would become his body. To prepare the statue, Nightwhisper made it ultra durable to prevent the glass from breaking.

Then, the spell was cast. Nightwhisper enchanted the sculpture to become the dragonets new body, fully functional in and out. However, because of the weight of the glass, flying wouldn’t be possible for the baby. It was a small sacrifice for the queen, and soon her son woke up as the glass statue.

His soul aged normally, and he soon grew into his glass body. He got around just fine being unable to fly, and is quite an arrogant jerk. He loves to flaunt his wealth and beauty, and is beloved by his Tribe and mother.

Fun facts:

His wings always droop because of their weight

He can’t easily move his tail, again because of the weight.

He walks slower than a normal dragon

He’s slightly taller than average

He doesn’t need to eat, drink, or breathe

Once he dies, the enchantment states that the statue will return to how it was before it became his body.
