Aloe grew up in a very strict house hold, so now that he's on his own in a new neighborhood he's struggling to understand the roudy people in his apartment complex, while he also is confronted by new feelings surounding the apartment complex owner who seems to be friends with everyone who lives there.

Aloe is not the main character of the story/world he lives in, but he does have his own character arch. Plus he is struggling to understand that he is Bisexual, since his family looked down on being LGBTQ+. Aloe tends to feel very alone and isolated, even though everyone tries to include him. He's just really out of his element in the complex and doesn't know where to even start.

Aloe was constantly controled when he was younger. So when the family tries to control him, after he gains his own sense of self, He actually stands up for himself and cuts them out of his life. Which was a very difficult choice for him.
