a relatively friendly outcast and nomad. with not many friends of which to speak of, she is a scav who makes many connections traveling as well as making many enemies. possessing wings and hydraulic prosthetic legs, she is a cobbled together freak who earns the fear of others by simply existing - except those who are willing to talk to her, who find quickly that she is actually a pleasant and fiercely protective individual. it is very hard to reach her limits, but when you do, you're basically already dead.
note her actual name is Vāsayati but she NEVER introduces herself as this. she has many names, and doesn't care what others call her, but is often called The Songbird, or introduces herself as Sings-with-Blades.
Likes
singing! songs, and other pleasant sounds, like chimes and ripples- collecting stuff
- the ancients and the iterators. not them themselves, but she is fascinated with them
Dislikes
explosives - she always flinches when she hears explosions, but resorts to them sometimes, since she is good with them- anyone who is needlessly rude and ignorant

songbird spends a lot of her time researching and traveling, fascinated with the culture of the ancients and the history of why this place is the way that it is. most scavengers are quite happy to NOT be involved with the iterators, and are eager to disassociate from her, believing her interest in them will do nothing but harm.
Abilities
Gliding & Climbing: born with wings, she is capable of gliding from one platform to another with a single leap - gaining more air from jumping and having an extra pair of limbs with which to grip.- Hydraulic Leg (Day): literally has miros bird prosthetics. these make it harder to walk, but make her twice as fast as the average scavenger.
- So God Damn Spiky: with antlers, quills and metal legs, she's pretty hard to get a grip on! she can shoot quills like weaker backup spears, while also stashing items on her back; she has sharp antlers that make her head itself dangerous; but most importantly, a kick from her legs is always going to hurt, since they are razor edged and heavy, and very much akin to blades.

Relationships
good friends though they haven't always been. not long ago they were at a rough patch of their friendship where songbird was less than pleasant to him, and he was far too passive to stand up for himself. it wasn't until much later that they reunited in the memory crypts of all places, and he saved her life.
she finds great solace being in winter's presence, and finds him comforting and worthy of love and protection. she would support him through thick and thin, and couldn't possibly apologize enough for the way she's treated him.

History
- was once greatly loved by her tribe, especially her mother; who obviously gotta die
- she grew interested in the world around them and wanted to know more about the iterators and the ancients, leading to a fascination that disturbed her tribe
- she may have peaced out with some pearls upon discovering they store data
- she ends up in the memory crypts. after a horrifying incident where a miros bird grabs her, she nails it with a bomb, blowing it to pieces but ripping her apart as well. she loses her legs, and after (using the power of god and anime) treating her horrific wounds, she manages to tinker with the hydraulic legs of the miros bird and splint them to her own legs.

Vāsayati is a Sanskrit word with various meanings, including to love, to bestow love upon, to make love to and acceptance (of an invitation), to invite one in, to give a home. It can also mean to cut out, to remove.- She represents attachment and companionship. More than trading and collecting, she loves making friends, and her attachment to said friends makes her wholly unwilling to leave this world behind. More than anything, friends is all she wants.
