Personality Traits
He's quick to start freaking out, but is willing to push through anything if it means accomplishing his god's missions for him. Once he's been given a task (whether by himself or any others), he will focus hard on completing them. On top of that, despite his high perception, he can be quite stupid at times and impulsive - often jumping to conclusions and having a hard time second guessing information he is given.
Ideals
He believes in second chances for everyone, but often times people simply don't change for the better and his hand is forced (in his eyes). Everyone has a story and deserves someone in their corner, he just might need to be on the opposite side and killing their corner.
Bonds
His only solid bond that he will never betray or consider turning on is his god, Uk'Un.
Flaws
He talks without a filter frequently and has a hard time paying attention to social cues. Reading hard into conversations, he will come to conclusions without confirmation or minimal evidence. Apparently his ability to connect dots, however, is damn near prophetic. He has a hard time finding a good time to share his suspicions (I.E. sharing with an enemy that the party is planning on killing his god, not sharing his suspicions that the food is poisoned until everyone had eaten, etc.)
Observant: Increase Wisdom score by 1, to a maximum of 20. If he can see a creature's mouth while it is speaking a language he understands, Turzel can interpret what it's saying by reading its lips. He has a +5 bonus to his passive Wisdom (Perception)(now 19) and passive Intelligence (Investigation)(now 16) scores. |

Turzel was apprenticing to be a blacksmith when a gang of bandits raided his town and burned it to the ground. They took him hostage for a few months; kept him in a small cage and abused him. He made an escape attempt one night and when they caught him, they beat him to death.
Uk'Un, the god that transports souls to the afterlives, offered to play a game with him - if Turzel won, he'd be revived and would do Uk'Un's work in the mortal realm. If he lost, he'd go to his afterlife. Obviously, Turzel won by some miracle. Nowadays, he's a traveling Grave Cleric of Uk'Un. A Riftwalker capable of traversing the abyss through portals of which he's well aware now and frequents, too.
His god has sent him to a small town named Alverton, but their connection is weak enough that Turzel must find his target and eliminate them... But it turns out that it's the False God, Moluck. He will do his damned best to finish the job, but he is well aware that he might die on this adventure - especially given that Vanta has been hesitant to share information and the strength of Moluck's followers that has persevered throughout several calamities and pantheons.

A 3'3 Owlin based off of Potoo birds. He has a large head with a stout body and large, yellow eyes that are often staring at people and his surroundings. His feathers are mostly colored between a light tan and a deep brown, splattered with black markings. He wears a black leather coat with purple accents with a shakily sewn in symbol relating to Uk'Un (as he often adds a reference to him in his clothing one way or another). His bird feet are a darker tan tipped with black claws, while his wings are larger than his body is.
- Circle of Mortality 1st lvl
Gain the ability to manipulate the line between life and death. When he would normally roll one or more dice to restore hit points with a spell to a creature at 0 hit points, he instead uses the highest number possible for each die. He also gains Spare the Dying as an additional cantrip with a range of 30 ft. and as a bonus action.
- Eyes of the Grave 1st lvl
Gain the ability to occasionally sense the presence of the undead, whose existence is an insult to the natural cycle of life. As an action, Turzel can open his awareness to magically detect undead. Until the end of his next turn, he knows the location of any undead within 60 feet of him that isn't behind total cover and that isn't protected from divination magic. This sense doesn't tell him anything about a creature's capabilities or identity. He can use this feature a number of times equal to his Wisdom modifier (4 times). He regains all expended uses when he finishes a long rest.
- Path to the Grave 2nd lvl
As an action, Turzel chooses one creature he can see within 30 feet of himself, cursing it until the end of his next turn. The next time he or an ally of his hits the cursed creature with an attack, the creature has vulnerability to all of that attack's damage, and then the curse ends.
- Sentinel At Death's Door 6th lvl
He gains the ability to impede death's progress. As a reaction when he or a visible ally within 30 ft. suffers a critical hit, he can turn it into a normal hit four times per long rest.
