ABOUT
"it's an allagan conspiracy!"
Momo Mori is, at first glance, quiet and unassuming. They don't talk much, often wear a blank expression on their face and are focused more towards their work than anything else. However, what lies underneath the serious and no-nonsense demeanor is also a mischief-maker who jumps into any misadventure and shenanigan when called upon by friends. When they are with trusted companions, they are a bringer of (mostly) harmless chaos.
An adventurer of considerable strength, Momo takes on dangerous missions where she leads head-on into jaws of large beasts and others with weapons directly pointed at her. While not the safest line of work she could've possibly chosen, she gets to meet various people across the land and learn new things. And of course, put food on the table.
When Momo is not adventuring, they brew alchemical concoctions and potions for their side-hustle, taking in requests from clients and from the Alchemist's Guild.
DESIGN
- dark red tattoos under the eyes are permanent
- no pupils like all dunesfolk
- big and sharp ears
- generally wears clothes that is considered cool by Momo's standards and either has a comically large hat, weapon or both.
BACKGROUND
PRIOR TO BEING AN ADVENTURER...
Growing up in Thanalan with a large family of people of various trades and crafts, Momo had a comfortable upbringing, relatively speaking. While poverty was a large problem within Ul'dah and other places, their family managed to scrape by and at least keep Momo and all of their siblings fed and clothed. As they grew older, their mother's health began to decline and that is when they decided they would join the Alchemist's Guild as soon as possible.
Momo studied all sorts of the effects of various potions and elixirs hoping to find treatment, or better yet, a cure for their mother's condition. But just when they were able to hone their skills and produce more effective medicine, tragedy struck all across Eorzea...
THE CALAMITY, AND ONWARDS
The memories of the Seventh Umbral Calamity is all a blur. The years came and went, and Momo "came to" their senses once they were on their way to Gridania. Having picked up a staff to hopefully heal others, they decided to leave their homeland due to the distaste that Ul'dahn society left them, and to cope with the grief of their mother's passing. They hoped that by coming to a place full of fresh air, fresh faces and plenty of nature, they can turn a new page in their life as an adventurer, not bound by any strict location and help others.
While on their travels and completing tasks for others, their affinity towards healing magicks is not as strong as their medicinal knowledge. The Conjurer's Guild helped whenever they could, but Momo realized that they didn't want to stay back and let others fall into dangeorus situations. Putting aside the staff and picking up an axe, they began to hone their martial prowess so that the dangerous sitations would come to them instead.
