Damned Dame

"Why...why must things be this way...?"
An angel sent by the divine to purge the world from evil, she found herself corrupted by the same evil she was supposed to purge. Her negative emotions were capable of slowly trapping her in vines that symbolized her heart weakening. Despite that, she does not give up in her goal to delete "evil", and one of her missions was to help out a lost person who took in the power of evil to do some good. This knight understood what they were trying to do, but the divine who ordered her does not agree with their actions. And so, she secretly helps them with their goals while pretending to be "slaying" them.

Agender she/he/they with she/her preference

Rosael is a trusted knight of the gods, she was made to purge evil from the world. She fights tirelessly night and day to slay nefarious beasts and beings; no matter how tired she gets or how much pain she goes through, she prevails as it is her divine-given duty.

After eons of relentless slaying, everything came to a head when the monster she had been fighting cursed her with its last breath as it perished. Feeding on her negative emotions, a corruption slowly spread throughout her body in the form of thorny vines that grew stronger with the more negative emotions she felt, stabbing and crushing her day by day.

This would not hold her back though, as she was created to carry on with her duty. Determined to grit her teeth through this turn of fate, she carried on her duty to slay evil, a duty of which included guiding a demon who had turned unholy and was casted away by the gods after a deal with the devil. She sympathised with their cause, but the gods did not agree that what they were doing was good. They ordered her to watch over the human-turned-demon and help them find their way with their sudden divine powers.

The demon had only done what he thought was right, deep down she believed he still had good intentions despite becoming a demon — seeing how lost this being was, how much he had given up for his power, she vowed to help him with his mission to slay both the holy and the unholy. To keep the gods from further punishing the demon, she reported back to the gods that she was following through her duty of slaying evil by trying to slay the demon, reporting that his powers of divinity and unholiness made him a stronger opponent than the other evils she had cut down. She knew that if the gods were to find out that she was deceiving them, she too, would be punished for her transgressions, but still she would whatever it took to aide the demon with figuring out their fate while managing her own curse.
