Aria/Spider-Glow

My Spidey OC! Like a Spider-sona of sorts, but she's her own character, not a reflection of me

Name: Aria/Spider-Glow

Age: 17

Gender: Female, she/her

Species: Human (With Spider atributes)

Personality: In the works!

Abilities: Her main powerset is that of a regular Spider-character (Sticky, strong, synthetic webs, spidey-sense), with an added on extra (small) set of eyes above her main ones. Both sets slightly glow in the dark (She can make them glow brighter, but it takes a lot out of her), along with night vision. She uses the manual bright glow (unsure yet if she can just do eyes or full body) as a sort of flash-bang in severe circumstances.

With her extra set of eyes, she can also see vague (Imagine it as a low opacity airbrushed version of:) silhouettes of enemies through walls, but it takes a LOT out of her and makes her eyes (especially the extra ones) glow a lot. See it as a sort of scanning, kind of like a nerfed version of how it is in the Playstation Spider-man game. and she uses it to get a sort of lay of the land before a fight if she expects it to be extra dangerous. She can only vaguely see size/shape, and can see how many people there are but if it's more than 10 it all becomes a vague blob that hurts a lot to focus on. Fighting style: She bases a lot of her fighting off of karate(I think! Still workshopping specific inspirations). She tends to be calculated about her punches and kicks, and really likes using her legs in battle

Backstory: Before she got her powers, she was very skeptical of superheroes. Once she got bit, her perspective began to change, and she had a deeper understanding of the moral obligation the heroes had to help those in need, and slowly began to become a vigilante herself, eventually calling herself Spider-Glow! Aria got most of her superhero help from her roommate at school, Caroline! She and Caroline were investigating Alchemax together when an explosion imbued a super-intelligence power into Caroline, and the spider that bit Aria escaped in the same explosion (I'm unsure if Caroline will be very relevant in any reworkings of Aria or not, but she's on the table! Caroline belongs to Punk Pink :))

Design notes: The floopy bits on her arm are a bit confusing, but more or less it's a part of the sleeve that strays off and can flow about when fighting, meant to make her silhouette slightly more interesting, even if it looks a tad dumb on her reference. Her eyes very dimly glow, but when she's calm it's only slightly noticeable in a dark room. Her eyes glow more when she's stressed, and especially glow when her spider-sense is active, along with her extra set of eyes opening up. The gold parts of her suit are also slightly reflective, sort of like metal! She also has a slightly short, plump face

Misc:

• She's (Ironically) terrified of spiders! When she got bit she SCREAMED like a banshee. Had a bit of a freakout about it, especially as all her senses got amped up and she suddenly felt something forming above her eyes...
• A lot of the time, Aria is bandaged up in some way due to her fights as Spider-Glow. To make sure people don't get too suspicious, she always writes it off as "I'm really clumsy!", so she needs to pretend to be more clumsy than she actually is around others just to keep up the façade that all her injuries are really just because she runs into. Literally everything Of course she really is clumsy, just not bad enough to injure herself more than a small bruise
• Her suit's lenses have a prescription built in so she can still fight without needing to wear her glasses
• Constantly sleep deprived. She's surprisingly good at managing it but she tends to forego sleep in favor of spidey-ing,,, a lot more often than she should
