Fyodor is a charismatic psychic type trainer. He prefers to catch pokemon who are cutesy or strong. Although, he doesn't catch for looks, he catches cute pokemon to give his opponent a false sense of security and confidence. In reality, his pokemon are very powerful.
Fyodor travels alongside his brother, Igor, but they often split up. When they separate its mostly for training considering they like training against strangers. Fyodor and his pokemon love pretending to be hurt or lost to trick others during these separations.
His Alakazam is able to mega evolve. Mega evolution is a major asset to Fyodor's team. Alakazam was caught in a master ball as an Abra, forcing the wild Abra to be caught whether it wants to or not. Eventually, it grew to like Fyodor and his trickery.
When Fyodor loses, he doesn't sweat about it. His Hypno uses hypnosis to erase any memory of Fyodor's loss, keeping his reputation as an unbeatable and mysterious trainer. Although, he doesn't need to use it often.
