”A traveling historian with aureate tastes. He’s taken it upon himself to transcribe the stories of the world” —In-game character attributes and profile page text Ilya is a gentle mannered researcher from Sumeru’s Vahumana darshan, one of few desert born students to gain substantial success at the Akademia. His childhood in the desert and time alongside the eremites fostered his interest in teyvat’s history. He admits that he soon lost interest in teyvat’s origin and turned focus onto the history of humanity itself. This interest was taken into adulthood, and is the motivation between his current research. To him, sharing the stories of people past to highlight the consistency between people across decades is a sacred duty. |
