éloi vaquelin, kyrie’s uncle, and the only person in the vaquelin family that kyrie cares for. though kyrie may not be of his family by blood, éloi sees him almost as though he were his own son. he continues to quietly support him, even as kyrie no longer confides in him the way he once did.
a surgeon. since his youth, he’s always been a rallying enthusiast, though he never had the composure or opportunity to take part in a race. he didn’t take this as an unfortunate reality however, as he was always aware of the fact that such a thing was more easily admired than participated in, at least for someone of his disposition. instead, he relished in being able to fly out to see many of the fantastic races in person, taking a young kyrie and his family along when he could. he kindled the love for motorsports in kyrie and aimed to support him as he followed his own dreams, regardless of what his adoptive parents had planned for him.
it was éloi who had asked heikki to help keep an eye on kyrie in his F1 endeavors.
éloi became good friends with heikki around the same time kyrie met him, as the two met at tour de corse. he happened to get a moment to speak with the driver after the stages had been completed, and struck up a conversation; despite being ‘only’ a fan in his words, they quickly became friends. éloi then invited him to have dinner with his family, which heikki took no complaint with.
