What are treatfolk?

The species of little pastry people, also known as delecta (delectum in singular) are a species of sentient pastries shaped like tiny people. They are a species unique to the isles of Plantei and are situated on several islands and coasts around the area. They keep to candied biomes and can rarely be found wandering outside of Plantei.

Physiology

Delecta are described to be stubby and rounded in stature, roughly the size of human toddlers. They share a surprising amount of traits with humans, such as opposable thumbs, humanoid facial structure and being plantigrades. 

Pastry people are always made of some kind of carbs, like bread or cake, which is more fragile than human flesh but stronger than most baked carbs. Their internal organs are gelatin-like and very sweet, in fact every inch of them is not only edible but delicious. Other common attributes include "hair" made of piping fondant, eyes made of hard candies and occasional sprinkles and chocolate chips garnishing their skin.
