Pigeonpaw is one of Highclan's grumpy cats, who dreams of having a peaceful life but seems to find himself in situations, and going to find them hismelf, regardless. Though somewhat serious about his job, Pigeonpaw often reacts to shocking and annoying situations the same way: with screaming and shouting.
Irritable, brittle, moody and short-tempered are all words that wholly apply to Pigeonpaw. Happy in the morning, enraged by afternoon, and his regular cranky self by evening, Pigeonpaw's mood swings are something else, and can change a few times even during seemingly simply conversations.
If something is on his mind, he will surely say it, and not hold back on any of the punches.
Even if he can come across as generally moody, and might complain about not having any time to himself almost constantly, Pigeonpaw is a surprisingly social and talkative cat. If he could spend his days just standing around, talking about nothing, and sharing the latest gossip with tolerable cats, Pigeonpaw would be a very, very happy tom.
Pigeonpaw likes being in control, and often doesn't like admitting fault. Closed off and trying to remain surface-level in conversations, Pigeonpaw tries to to connect deeply with other cats. He has enough to worry about. Besides, he greatly dislikes cats being able to read him.
Despite his angry demeanour, Pigeonpaw does have a level of care and compassion for his clanmates, and does worry for their well-being. He knows sometimes he can be unreasonable, and hurt cats when he lashes out, and refuse to see why they're hurting in a moment. Though, when he reflects and rethinks things, he can feel sympathy for others, and might reapproach them to help or make amends.
Though inherently shouty, Pigeonpaw is perfectly capable of thinking on a dime, and choosing a course of action. Though, it might not always be the right one, he often enough has an intelligent grasp on situations, even if he doesn't know it.
Even if he is capable of making smart decisions, Pigeonpaw is an indulgent cat and sometimes will actively choose not to. Talking to those loners, or wriggling into that tight space might not be a great idea, but a cat needs to live a little.
DESIGN

Short Desciption: a blue tabby with pale blue eyes.
With a bad case of 'resting grump face', Pigeonpaw is usually sporting a scowl, and often looks done with everyone and everything around him. He wishes he could exude 'don't talk to me' energy even more.
Pigeonpaw is a tom on the shorter side, with medium-long, spiky fur which is actually quite soft to the touch. He is a blue tabby with dark, striped points and tail. He has sharp features and icy blue eyes, and his left ear is half folded.
BACKGROUND
Childhood
Jayleap, a Highclan warrior, gives birth to her first litter! Following the bird naming theme of her family, she names the toms Falconkit and Pigeonkit for their pelts, and raises her kits with the help of her sister, Swallowdive. The kittens are fathered by Leapfish, who acted as a surrogate but has since befriended Jayleap and Swallowdive, and is involved in his kittens lives and helps look after them, even if he seems awkard at times.
Falconkit and Pigeonkit's personalities bloom as they grow, and the family are starting to think the toms should have swapped names!
Pigeonkit is growing into his irritable, moody self. He usually doesn't snap at his family, with the exception of Falconkit, who never seems to take it personally.
Blackstar calls a meeting and says something about Highclan no longer having deputies. Pigeonkit finds the whole thing strange, and isn't sure it makes sense. But hey, the cat who also had that opinion just got threatened, so he'll keep it to himself.
The toms are quickly outgrowing the nursery, Falconkit especially, and are on track to become apprentices in a few moons! Pigeonkit is looking forward to his future alone time. Good-bye, nursery.
The clans attend a Gathering, and a Daylight Gathering! Pigeonkit is disappointed he can't go, but says something about the whole thing being stupid anyway. Falconkit sulks that he can't go, so Pigeonkit and his family do their own contests in camp to cheer him up. Annoyingly, Pigeonkit also enjoys himself.
A bunch of strangers, the RoseNest cats, visit the clans. Pigeonkit is surprised and even a bit curious of all these freaky looking strangers, and some even join Highclan. Maybe it'll make life more interesting? He hopes they won't bother him.
Adolescence
Pigeonpaw and Falconpaw become apprentices! Pigeonpaw recieves ### as a mentor. ###

RELATIONSHIPS
Pigeonpaw has an impressive Love-Hate relationship with his own brother. He enjoys chatting to him and occasionally getting mischievous with him. But also, some days finds him to be the most annoying cat in all the clans. There's no cat who has been told 'shut up' and 'go away' and 'leave me alone' more.
Things often feel a bit complicated and confusing with Leapfish. Pigeonpaw doesn't call him dad like his brother does. But, it's nice to have another cat on your side. There's love there, but Pigeonpaw doesn't like feeling uncertain.
"Alright, yeah. Mom's pretty cool. She gets... 'it.' She feels like the one cat I can sometimes talk to about stuff, and she knows how to control Falconpaw, and get him to leave me alone. Though I hate when she mentions I need to be responsible for that idiot sometimes."
"She's cool too. I don't tell her the deep stuff like mom, but she knows how to have fun, and I think that's pretty important. She has my back."
"UHHH. She might be crazy? I have no idea, dude. Mom said I was a bit like her once. Thanks?"
"Eh. Seems nice. Imagine having a whole den to yourself like that."

- The 'Quiet Game'.
- His precious, precious alone time.

- Crushing things like dry leaves and empty snail shells. He's not some crazy snail murderer.

- Other cats being overly mean to Falconpaw. That's his job and his idiot!

- Falconpaw trying to lie on top of him.
- Being lectured and being told what to do a bit too much.
AMBITIONS
- Always know the latest gossip.
- Meet some cats from other clans.
- Complete his warrior training with Falconpaw.
FEARS
- Needing to use his battle skills to protect someone, when he feels he'll probably fail and they'll be badly hurt.
- Something real bad happening to Highclan or his family.
TRIVIA
- Both brothers seem to be notoriously bad hunters and fighters. At least Pigeonpaw still tries, even if he is terrible.
- His favourite jobs include doing regular border patrols and sentry/guard duties. Though, he'll probably talk the whole time if the other cat(s) are down to.
- No matter where Pigeonpaw goes or what he tries, Falconpaw always seems to be able to find him. There is no where he can hide.
- He sometimes gets mad when cats try to help him, not that he always means to. He gets frustrated, and then more frustrated with himself too.
- Pigeonpaw knows every swear word in the territories. He has them loaded and ready to go.
